Had Wanted To Visit This Authentic Chinese Place Since A Long Time, And Finally Few Days Ago Got Time To Pay A Visit To The Restaurant. I Was Pretty Impressed..

Location : 3rd Floor, Silver Arcade Building. Same Building As Sigree. Silver Spring, EMBypass.

Ambiance : Was Good, Liked The Decor. Quite And Clean. Nice Dim Lighting. Mood Soothing.

Service : Very Humble And Polite Staff.

Food : Coming To The Main Reason For Visiting The Restaurant, To Have Their Chinese. The Dishes I Ordered Were :

• Crispy Corn Cubes : Mashed Corn Made Into Cubes, Deep Fried And Served With A Mix Soya Sauce. To Be Really Honest, It Was A Disappointed For Me. I Didn't Like It At All. I Ordered Everything From Menu Confirming Regarding The Taste With The Attendant, He Even Assured For It. But I Didn't Like It At All. And When I Complained About It To Him, He Said It Is Liked By Children. So A Point For The Management, That We Were Not Children And When I Had Ordered After Confirmation From The Attendant, Then I Guess Him Giving This Children Excuse Was Not At All Appreciated..!!

*• Asparagus Tempura Rolls : I've Always Wanted To Try Sushi 🍣 Since The Time I Have Seen These In Cartoons Or Anime's. But Always Thought Could There Be A Vegetarian Version. Have To Say I Kinda Liked It, Great Taste, At First I Thought It Would Be Hard To Eat And I Won't Like The Taste. But It Was Soft And Tender From And Inside And Kinda A Sweet, With The Cream Cheese Filling. Really Liked It. Asparagus And Other Vegetables Placed In Between A Thin Layer Of Rice And Topped With Cream Cheese, Then Rolled To Make Sushi Using Sushi Mat. Rolled Very Tightly So That The Sushi Doesn't Fall Apart.

• Thai Style Vegetable Dumplings : Classic Steamed Dumplings Served With A Thai Twist. Liked It, Was Sweet And Soft And Fresh. Was Expecting A Bit Spicy Taste, But Was Ok.

• Burnt Garlic Noodles With Vegetables : I Guess Chilli Garlic Noodles Is The Better Option Here. Although You Can Have This Also, But I Would Suggest To Remove This From Menu And Keep Chilli Garlic Noodles As They Are Classic And Love.

*• Seasonal Vegetables In Smoked Chilli Sauce : I Really Loved This In Place Of Manchurian, It Had The Spicy And Tangy Taste, All Sorts Of Vegetables We're Present. Was Amazing Having To Have With Noodles.

Overall Great Experience, Although Was Expecting More From This Brand. Would Give A Try Again Someday. Liked The Way They Present Their Menu, Interiors Were Good.

Mainland China is one of the most recognisable names when it comes to Asian Dining in Calcutta, and with good reason. The menu maybe small but every dish is executed with perfection. Service is impeccable, and food is served faster than any other restaurant I have been to. We ordered a Seafood soup, Dumplings,Fried Prawns, one portion each of a basic noodle and rice dish, a bhetki preparation and a duck preparation. Portions were perfect for 3 people. The food was amazing, and special mention must be made of the amazing selection of condiments including their amazing hot oil, pickled veg, and kimchi. They add depth to the food and help cleanse the palate between courses. Will be going back as soon as I am in Calcutta again.

There is also a very nice selection of adult beverages, including fine wines and aged whiskeys.
