We use to take many food items and other food products and never check the price and expiry dates due good faith bcoz .Then I recall one incident that oneday one girl was also saying the same words abt expired food products. I request all try to avoid purchasing of food and food products as they don't maintain the hygienic, faith .Try to circulate this to your know circle and stop buying from this place .THEY ARE DOING FRAUDULENT ACTIVATIES IN PRICING, QUALITY. Read moreI believe this is the only place that serves South Indian dishes in the locality. (I might be wrong) It is kind of hard to locate, in fact the board just caught my eye out of nowhere as I was walking down Brahmo Samaj Road in Behala. The actual entrance is situated in an alleyway hence, the reason why foreign eyes cannot locate it.
Anyways, the place is quite small with limited seating options. I felt mildly claustrophobic inside. They have a full blown South Indian menu with a variety of dosas, utthappams and other delicacies. We had a paneer masala dosa, vada, idlis and utthappams. My favourite was the vada. It felt authentic and was mouth watering. The utthappam was good too, except for the overflow of onions. The idlis were bigger than what I expected but we're fine, would definitely fill your belly. The dosa was disappointing. The masala was bland and the paneer was too plain. If it wasn't for the sambhar and coconut chutney, the dosa would have failed. They also have a general store right inside the cafe. So you can buy your daily supply of rations from there too.
It's a good place in terms of food, but I the ambience wasn't up to the mark. you can take away parcels and enjoy the hot idlis and Vadas with some tea in the cozy and comfort...
