The Rice Bowl is an attractive property with a huge flower bush drawing your attention from the street. The space inside is an absolute delight. There's no shortage of seating. There's an indoor dining space for chilly days. An outdoor seating area overlooking the street and the aforementioned flower bush. Then there's assorted seating under a variety of tents and awnings in huge tree garden. The restaurant is festooned in Tibetan colours and fabrics, and prayer flags. The Rice Bowl has a mind-bogglingly huge menu, running into 12 pages. I looked at the dessert menu on the last page and ordered Banoffee Pie with Icecream, as it was a warm afternoon. Totally overawed by the sprawling menu of Tibetan, Chinese, Korean, Italian, Indian dishes plus a lot more of global provenance, I played safe and ordered a chicken thenthuk. The banoffee pie was a delight, the thenthuk a disappointment. While the chopped vegetables - carrot slices, cabbage and spinach were fine, the chicken and dumplings seemed a bit raw.
