Finding the Central Asian Museum was a huge thrill. Yet I felt there could be much more information and displays on the vast subject. I find much more info online. If there were a Library covering its varied subjects would be very welcome. There is a lot of material on your sites on central asia online. This could be provided in laminated sheets in folders to relate to the History of this fascinating State highlighting its past. Using as well the vast collection of photography through the 18-19th Century. The Silk Route with its Maney walls, fast disappearing from neglect, should be preserved wherever possible to ensure its protection. And make it a trekker's route. Does a good job of introducing the tourist to the history and culture of Ladakh. However one can't help feeling that the museum is still incomplete - there is lack of coverage of post 1959 when the Tibetan refugees came to Ladakh by the thousands. Also, it seems a rather disproportionate number of artifacts were taken or loaned from the Jamia Masjid next door. The museum stays open till 7pm. You can visit after your day's sightseeing....
