Jaffa, hands down, is the ONLY no nonsense Shawarma place in Bhopal, which has been really consistent in their offerings, even after 50-odd something visits.
Their Pita bread is mostly soft and fresh, the pieces of chicken are truly shawarma-tastic, the sauces are great, the added on fries are a hit or a miss depending on how busy they are: the only gripe I have from these folks is the fact that I've been served cold fries 7 out of the 10 times I've visited. But eh, the shawarma makes it up for it.
Must try(s) include the Butter Chicken Shawarma, Bhuna Shawarma and the Chicken Tikka Sandwich (the sandwich looks SUS, but don't worry, it is delicious!). The atmosphere / ambiance around is the raw 10 number market, it's a small shack, so, stand-and-dine / take-it-away-and-have-it-in-your-cars is your best bet, folks. Really like the succulent chicken pieces doused in sauces wrapped in the pita bread / sandwiched between large size breads, and I must say with confidence, that no other place in Bhopal comes close to Jaffa in terms of what they offer.
They also offer the option to change from a white to a brown pita bread, Baklava, tortilla wrap (which I still have to try), paneer shawarma / wraps, and a rice bowl (which stayed OOS upon my visits [Not sure; whenever I felt like have a 🥣 of 🍚, it was OOS for me]), but the shawarmas did the trick for my tummy.
Overall cost per person is 150 Indian Rupees, if that's something which you're concerned with. I'd say it is quite...
Read moreGood things: Decent taste. Clean. Live Kitchen.Systematic.First come first serve Not Good: The Size of the Shwarma ( I had Original Shawarma) is very small and its not sufficient for 1 person. I have had Shawarma in many countries and many places in India but Jaffa Shawarma has the smallest Shawarma. The price is little steep: 120 for original shawarma. No proper eating place. Hardly 4 person can eat at a time that too people brushing you while walking to the counter. The shop is in parking hence, always crowded with notorious people and spoiled childrens. Not good environment to bring your family and enjoy. I would prefer to go to KFC which is just opposite of this Shawarma Joint. I am a foodie and chef my self hence i can say that they have decent taste but the size is too small hence you will end up buying 2 shawarma for your self to fill your appetite. The packaging is good if you have takeaway. The quantity of mayo given with the takeaway is so less that you can not even take it out of that tiny little so called small square with a lid on it. If you eat then and there only you get lots of mayo in your plate. No place to wash your hands you gonna have to deal with paper napkins. I was not satisfied overall but for the taste i have...
Read moreProbably a finest Shawarma franchise in Bhopal. It's usually crowded but they have swift and nice service.
In shawarma I am found of lebanese and Afghani, though here I felt very little combination of Tahini, Hummus. And the shawarma here is more about smoothness and creamy filling. Honestly there is very minimal difference in tastes between variants.
Also there was very little green vegitables other than few olive slices. Hopefully it to address what's crowd demand and its good.
In overall the the shawarma is loaded with nice and smooth chicken and very nice flavours,
so in nutshell if you just want a creamy and mouth-watering shawarma, it...
