Nestled in a charming, converted bungalow, Mr. Beans radiates a retro chic allure that beckons you to relax in its tranquil and rustic environment. The cafe's first floor is dedicated to a snug dining area, while the ground floor features a gourmet shop brimming with a variety of ingredients. The relaxed bohemian vibe, enhanced by vintage decor, creates a distinctive and welcoming atmosphere ideal for a soothing retreat. The cafe provides both indoor and outdoor seating, allowing you to select your preferred dining setting. The ambiance is generally excellent, although the asymmetric table arrangements can occasionally result in noise from larger groups permeating the space. The fresh items on the menu are delectable, and while everything is delightful, a touch more finesse could elevate the experience. The food here is divine, It costs around ₹500-1500 for two people. The hot coffee (Latte) is mouthwatering, and the hot chocolate (plain dark chocolate) is superb as well. The Garden in a Basket pizza and white cheese pasta are delicious. Also Hot chocolate Stir Bar is too good but price is on higher side. During winters, this place is a must-visit. The Margherita pizza is incredibly cheesy with a perfect thin crust-to-cheese ratio. The gourmet store downstairs has an astonishing collection. The wait time for food is minimal. However, the service can be somewhat slow, and it appears that the staff's attentiveness might vary based on your attire, which can feel a bit biased. Despite this, the overall dining experience is positive, with courteous and well-mannered staff who ensure you are seated comfortably.
Prices are on the higher side, comparable to a star restaurant, Unfortunately, they do not serve liquor, which might be a downside for some patrons. Additionally, the absence of a lift or wheelchair ramp makes it challenging for differently-abled and elderly diners to access the cafe, which is a significant drawback.

Read moreI have spared this place a negative review on multiple occasions thinking I'll give them the benefit of doubt since this had always been one of my favourite cafes in Indore but they have lost my business and loyalty after how I was treated today.
Today's experience- They billed a Cafe Frappe when I had ordered an Iced Americano and would not admit their mistake. I was made to pay 100 extra plus GST for just ice, what's funny is that I had asked for less ice and mentioned it thrice while placing my order and they didn't even follow that. The staff's behaviour was so condescending. They refused to believe me when I told them that I had ordered the exact same thing a week before and had been billed differently.
A recurring issue with the service is always that they never serve water until they're reminded. And this happens every single visit. I sat there for 1.5 hours at lunch and there wasn't even a glass of water on the table to fill. The most basic thing. Don't think I'll ever visit again.
In the past-
I have received a tart with a huge piece of plastic inside it, (attaching an image) for which I was supposed to be reimbursed but that never happened.
They brought the wrong order (I had ordered a non veg pizza, they got veg) and when they were supposed to bring back the right item, it was just the previous pizza with bits of meat and raw pineapple added on top which was obvious. That's my go-to order so I know that it tasted nothing like the original. When I told the staff about it they refused all accountability & would not accept their mistake. Attaching photos of how it's always served (the one with the plate next to it) and how they served it to me on that day.
Mistakes are not the problem, it's how their staff chooses to deal with them by behaving like their customers are...
Read moreMy girlfriend had been wanting to take me to this place since forever because she thought it was my kind. So a couple of days ago, we finally made it here. The ambience is nothing short of an European countryside restaurant. What I liked more was, unlike any other restaurant that has definite dining areas that begin at A and end at B, Mr. Beans' dining area was all over the place. We were looking for a place to sit and the more we walked into rooms, the more tables we could see. I don't know if it is something that they intended, but this arrangement makes the place look more like a home that's turned into a restaurant. So anyway, we settled for a table in the porch. Ordered a risotto of the month, which was made in tomato sauce by the way. I'm not a fan of tomato sauce but I could still eat spoonfuls of it, which goes on to say lot about how good it was. I ordered a Shepherd's Pie for myself and boy, that's the best one I've eaten in ages. There's a layer of no-nonsense mashed potatoes, and beneath that layer is an ore of meat. The mutton was good on many levels. I come from Kolhapur, where mutton is made better than the rest of the world. Yet, I would say that this is the best that I ever put in my mouth. If you like the raw taste of the meat, this is for you. It had all the essence of the mutton and it was hand-minced, which made it a lot tastier. We had coffee after the dinner. I had an espresso. Later that night, I tried to sleep but I couldn't and was awake until 5 in the morning. I knew whom to say thank you. My girlfriend had a cappuccino, and she was awake till 6. But that wasn't because of the coffee. She's a night creature anyway. Wow this is big. I should go back to work on my...
