Mitti Cafe – Saket( new branch )Review

Having visited Mitti’s older branch multiple times, I was genuinely excited when they opened this new one in Saket. The café itself is beautiful , the ambience is warm, earthy, and thoughtfully designed. It carries forward that rustic charm Mitti is known for, while giving it a polished, spacious feel. Definitely a place where you’d want to sit back and spend time.

Beverages

This, unfortunately, was a disappointing part of my visits. I tried both the Mint Ginger Lemonade and the Pineapple Lemonade, and neither came close to what the menu promised. Instead of being refreshing or fruity, both had an overpowering jaljeera like taste that felt completely off track. For beverages priced on the higher side, this was honestly messy 😬 confusing, unbalanced, and not something I’d order again.

On the brighter side, their Matcha and Coffee are genuinely good, so if you’re planning to order a drink, I’d recommend going with those instead of the lemonades or iced teas , they are very filling and a good option 🌞

Food 🍲

Starting with the Falafel and Hummus Platter , this was genuinely impressive. They serve multiple varieties of hummus and dips, along with beetroot, lavash sticks , and everything came together really well. This is definitely one dish I’d call a must try .

The Aglio Olio Pasta was also decent , cooked fairly well with a good quantity. A safe option if you’re looking for something simple.

The White Sauce Pasta was just okay . Not bad, but nothing extraordinary either. The taste was fine, though one thing to note is that they don’t serve it with mushrooms, which feels like a missing element compared to the classic version.

The real letdown, however, was the Pizza. I gave it two separate tries on different visits, but both times the crust was soggy and underwhelming. On top of that, the pizza was overloaded with so much cheese that it was almost impossible to lift a slice properly. Taste wise it was decent but the texture and balance were completely off.

The Chili Paneer also didn’t impress. It wasn’t terrible, but it definitely lacked that punch you’d expect , overall just decent at best, and not something I’d personally reorder.

Finally, the Sourdough Avocado Toast was a miss. The sourdough bread was underbaked (kaccha), which made it unpleasant, and while the guacamole itself was okay, the whole dish fell flat.

Overall Verdict 🚨

Overall, I’d say stick to the usual classics that Mitti has always been known for at their older branch , those are safer and more consistent. The newer menu additions at this Saket branch definitely need improvement in both execution and quality.

‼️ If I’m paying a premium price for something marketed as organic and fresh, I expect a much higher standard than what I’ve experienced here.

On the brighter side, their cakes , especially the jaggery and carrot cake are genuinely good and worth trying. But when it comes to the newer, expanded menu, the café has some catching up to do.

This is my honest feedback after multiple visits - the ambience is lovely, the concept is still appealing, but the food really needs to rise to the level Mitti’s reputation deserves. But the vibes that this place has to offer...

Recently, I had the chance to drop by this café for breakfast, eager to indulge in a comforting plate of idli and Upma. As my order arrived, I was immediately met with a rather perplexing realisation—the sambhar was noticeably mild, almost as if it had been intentionally stripped of its fiery essence in the name of an "organic" experience.

My plate consisted of two idlis accompanied by a modest portion of sambhar, which, to my dismay, barely sufficed for even a single idli. Naturally, I requested a bit more, only to be met with an unexpected revelation—additional sambhar came with an extra charge. Yes, you read that right. A café that boldly prices two idlis at ₹230 has the audacity to charge separately for something as fundamental as sambhar.

Moving on to the Upma, there was nothing particularly noteworthy about it. It wasn’t outright bad, but it certainly didn’t leave any lasting impression either. The flavors felt uninspired, lacking the warmth and comfort that one would typically expect from a well-made Upma.

All in all, the entire meal fell into the category of "just passable"—hardly anything to rave about. What truly left a bitter aftertaste, however, was the glaring mismatch between quality and cost. For the exorbitant pricing, one would expect culinary excellence, or at the very least, generosity in portions. Instead, what I encountered was a painfully overpriced affair that left much to be desired.

Oh wow, such a well-seasoned response! But let’s get to the point—

Stop copy-pasting""Thank you for your valuable feedback"* on every review. If you truly valued feedback, you'd respond accordingly instead of using a template.

"We are not a dosa shop"—Noted! But even roadside vendors use gas to keep sambhar warm, so let’s not pretend reheating it is some exclusive service.

Air conditioning? A comfortable dining space is expected, not a privilege customers should feel indebted for.

And just to be clear—it’s not about the ₹230, it’s about the value for money. But thanks for the advice—next time, I’ll choose a place that values both food and...

Nice place to visit Total organic food You will not going to find any oily no spices food, total normal food like a home made food. Situation in the middle of the city and easy to access place and easy to search out. It is situated just near by next to Indore famous Greater Kailash Hospital, in base ment of C K Naidu Complex. They have sitting arrangement out side of the cafe in open area and inside as well. Parking facility is very good. Quite peaceful place. Sitting arrangenebt is so very good and spacious. They are very fanous of their food which is totally organic. We visit this place very long back and today we didn't find out the place to visit as it was raining in Indore and need to eat some "chat pata" as atmosphere is asking for this and as well as some peaceful place werw we can sit and talk so we find Mitti is the place for this. And we order one Veg Wrap and one Choole Tikki and one slice of Carrort cake and though first we order this after that will order other option, but once or order cone we get shocked when we saw choole Tikki plate it's like and get confused we order kne choole tikki or two, as the quantity is quite high and for a normal person they can't eat singly, and once we finish or order we don't have a single capacity to order other food. Food quantity and duality is very good and which is worth it.veg wrap it also very good not pills sticky and spicy, which is stuff with paneer which is very soft it's like malai panner which get melt once it goes to mouth. Carrot cake is also very yup no too sweet, with low sugar, there you have an option in cake either you can order full one or one slice you can also ordered. Staffs are also very cooperative. They have good inspirational quotation which inspire you to grow more in your life. As the name say organica and mitti, Same like their staff, food and ambiance looks.
