Cafe CO2, by the Manas lake in Bhugaon, is a serene place away from the city hullaballoo to enjoy some great time and food.
🔺AMBIENCE (5/5): Rarely do I rate a place 5 on ambience but I was simply spellbound by the way this place has been designed and materialized. Surrounded by the Manas lake, the place feels calm, serene and beautiful. Use of lanterns, dim lights and candles further enhances the decor and lends it a charm that no one can escape. Comfortable seating with sofa chairs, cushions and ample space make it cozy to dine and you'd want to hangout until late. Special mention for the wonderful music blasting out of the speakers with both new and old melodies playing out that accentuated the atmosphere even more. The dance floor although small , would make you want to shake a leg due to the lit music and party environment. Full marks for the bomb setup.
🔺FOOD (4/5): I loved the food here. Especially the mocktails and starters, the main course though was not so good. 🔶PANEER TONDZHOU: An oriental preparation, the paneer cubes were tossed in a hot sauce, with some bell peppers and onions, and served in an edible crunchy basket. The taste was spicy with hot flavors and freshness of the peppers while the basket, nothing but just fried fryums gave it a nice crunch that ameliorated the overall experience.
🔶ROSEMARY PANEER : This was a normal one, with tender marinated paneer cubes barbecued and served with a dip. The taste was decent and not so spicy. The freshness of the paneer and the tasty dip made it all the more appetizing.
🔶PALAK CHICKPEA: Small round fried crisp patties of palak and chickpeas with added masala and served with chutney, this was a unique appetizer. It wasn't oily and the flavours of spinach and chickpeas could be felt in each bite.
🔶VEG CHAKRI KEBAB: These kebabs were a nice choice, crisp on the outside and soft and mushy on the inside with potatoes, veggies and condiments, these made for an ideal starter to go with the drinks.
🔶MAINS: I had Garden veg curry and paneer stick masala with cheese naans. I found both the curries pretty average in taste. The former lacked in flavour and felt bland while the latter lacked spice and the paneer quantity felt less as compared to the gravy.I also had Kashmiri pulav, a sweet rice preparation with added cardamoms and nuts but didn't quite like it too. An improvement needed on this front.
👉Finally had Paising roll for dessert, which I totally loved. Tutty fruity rolls of bread and cream with added fruity flavor, it felt a nice change from the regular desserts available at most places. The rolls were soft, yummy and delicious. Recommended.
🔺SERVICE (5/5): The place has a large staff to cater to the customers and they do a pretty good job at that. The place was almost full but they managed the tables very well and I was impressed.
🔺VALUE FOR MONEY (5/5): With a lovely view, good food and nice service, the place ticks all boxes. The quality and quantity of food is good and the prices are normal. Will...

You can either seat in shade or have lake side(open are where you feel the fresh chill air). Girls Make sure will carry something to cover your body as late night chilling air will give you goosebumps. Due to lakeside area it feels very cold.
They serves all kind of beers🍺🍻 and hard liquors🍷 with okay rates. CO2 serves awesome cocktails 🍷🍹 and have awesome taste. For non alcoholic people they serves mocktails🍸🍸, however find okay types n nothing that classy. Coming to drinking water 💧.. Again this is a big problem here.. They serve normal boring water which force you to take mineral water bottle which costs 40rs/bottle unnecessary.
Speciality of the area is nothing but hookka pot. They serve various flavours of hooka 🌫with budget rates. Quality of hookka is awesome. The hooka person always there to change your coal and make it good feeling of service.

Read moreCO2 needs no introduction and now that the IPL fever is high, CO2 has highlighted its interiors with classy cutouts of the popular players of the different IPL teams. And, to tackle the heat, the place has coolers and mists deployed everywhere in the huge space which can host around a thousand patrons at a time. Coming over to the food, here's what I experienced -
Appetisers - I started my course with a MASALA FRIED POMFRET and the size of the fish was adequate. It was marinated heavily with some rich spices and was cooked very well. The spices were infused deeply and left a subtle pickle and garlic flavour on the palate which was delicious. Then, I had the SAVOURY BHEL which was served in a slightly thick papad. It was a fusion of a few pomegranate seeds, some peanuts, sev, makhane, potato and dry peas. The savouring flavor was on point and was a great dish. The PINEAPPLE CHILLY grabbed everyone's attention because of the way it was presented. Paneer Chilly with a hint of pineapple flavor and pineapple cubes was a treat to the eyes as well as the palate. The DUM KHASTA TANGDI was another brilliant dish. Once you eat a layer of the leg, you will find chicken kheema infused inside which is unique and very delectable. The marination was apt and was so full of flavors. The MURGH and PANEER COTTON KEBABS are two variants you shouldn't miss out on. Loved the preparation as it wasn't too cheesy and kebabs, too, were relishing.
Mains - I tried the MURGH MALWANI which had a thick gravy and some heavy chicken pieces. It was a treat to the tastebuds with some hot flavors and a hint of tanginess. The MURGH MUSALLAM was another beauty which had loads of cream over the top giving an enriching experience.
Desserts - I had a dish of CHOCOLATE WONTONS which were served with Vanilla icecream and a couple of wafers. The Wontons were bit flaky but packed the flavor correctly. The GULAB JAMUN ICECREAM was another favourite with some hot gulab jamuns being well balanced by the cold vanilla icecream.
Overall, the food and desserts are pretty good and the atmosphere at this place compliments everything really well. There are a lot of flies around and I hope they look into it. Coming over to the service, the staff is quite well informed and well behaved. You can come here any time of the week and have a...
