The perfect place to spoil your day:
We ( couple with 6yrs old kid) decided to drive down to Lonavla to spend our friend's birthday and went to della adventure park...however we were late and reached at 6 pm while the park closes at 7pm.. the gaurd on duty humbly told us to enquire first and hinted to come again to use the pass well which was very sweet of him....
But since we were there we thought of having early dinner (friend yet to arrive)...he suggested to check out Cafe 24 in the resort through Gate 1. At that also we asked the gaurd if it's allowed to use the cafe only as it's a resort and may not be open to outsiders....he said the firm " yes" and started our night(evening)mare....
We gave the car to valet for parking and walked to cafe where we were not allowed to take the birthday cake inside ( which I agree and understand as every restaurant has the right) ... at the counter next to gate after confirming that I was not staying with them and with ample doubt on me....I was asked to pay a cover charge of 1k person...thankful sparing my 6yrs old... we had time to kill and had stayed for a wedding here few yrs back...we had really pleasant memories from this place and as we walked 50 mts to the main area (next to the main lobby) and sat on a step next to it...again a gaurd asked "room no." And then told yes to go from the area as we are not staying there... picked my kid up and we starter walking on the road towards the main gate as we assumed everything else is " not allowed"... 100 mts ahead on the internal main road another gaurd asked the same thing and same statement "you are not allowed here"... on the road which we took to Come in and are walking on....
The tone and gestures makes you feel like a beggar trying to enter a wedding ...
I grunted and told my wife to let's just sit in the cafe and wait as everything else is "not allowed "
In the cafe when we sat while we were thinking of ordering drinks my kid who was hungry by now and doesn't eat much from outside stared eating his Paratha... mind it only one Paratha and we have already paid the cover where we again reminded in dame tone..."not allowed "... even a five star property in any part of the world doesn't do this...rather my last outing at Marriott they came with plates and butter for my kid even though they were even awarw that we have come for a meal or just a coffee....
The things just had been too bad for us...
The food is average.... I would rate is not worth the Luxuray tag they are trying to put on it.... only saving grace were the servers....
The only way I can think of this as a luxury place is that they make sure to make to you feel that you are "not allowed " or can afford this....
If you don't want your guest to even stand anywhere else expect the cafe24 cause u want to protect others privacy, then don't allow any outsiders and inform them at the gate itself....it's a fair deal... don't let them come inside and then insult them at every step.....
The place and Della resort which I would strongly recommend everyone to not come unless u want to get insulted by every walking creature in there.....
Please don't allow "outsiders " and don't make money out of them while...

The owner of Della Mr Jimmy Mistry you please look matter as we are ordering vegetarian food and we got non vegetarian food Specially to the management And I want to name some of the management as we talk them they were rude . The order taker name Akshay And the worst manager name Rizwan ( As we order veg pasta and came non veg pasta ) One more time Mr Jimmy Mistry look into these matter as we are Jain and have to face lot of consequences of religious I repeat the name of order taker Akshay And the worst manager Rizwan The owner of Della @Jimmy Mistry … Atlast I want to say I have heard Della was good but they prove them wrong

Read moreI would rate it low because of the recent experience I had. It is not a reflection of the food and service which was good.
I went with Family (2 elderly and an infant included) on Saturday night and chose the place as this is a 5 star, pet friendly resort and we wanted to go out with our pet dog for a family occasion. We were seated outside by the pool in a corner table (as pets are not allowed in the restaurant) but since the ambience was good we thought that might be good. The problem however was that - 1- There were too many mosquitoes that made it really difficult to have dinner peacefully (the bushes around the corner were not helping) 2 - There were no fans / coolers outside and it being a hot and humid day, made it difficult.
The staff was helpful and did help us with 2-3 coils for mosquitoes( unfortunately that did no good) but were unable to help us with a table fan. For a 5 star property that has such high charges it was surprising that they did not have fans/coolers around the outside seating given now a days every small restaurants have it. We were cited some procurement issue for the same which honestly made no sense to me. Since it was already late in the night and taking a to go order would still have taken time , we had to split our seating for the elderly and infant to sit inside (ac seating) as the heat and mosquito was unbearable for them, while others sat with the dog outside and quickly gobbled up food .
Feedback for the property - Please install fans and coolers for outside seating or do something to make it comfortable . No one wants to spend 10 grand on a dinner and have an experience like mine. It overshadowed the overall quality of food and service to the point that I will never go there with a pet and subject myself or any of my friends to the...
