I have been visiting this hotel since i was a child , i have never have had this kind of experience in years , since the renewal of this restaurant their management is becoming worse , 3 times in a row i have experienced it , first time i had ordered cheese tomato onion uttappa , tabel next to me ate and went home i had to remind them 3 times in a row after 35 minutes they served me it , second time they took the same amount of time to serve me the same menu on a different day and today when i visited the restaurant around 10:30 i thought that it might be that the perticular tabel i was sitting on for the past two times was the reasons they had ignored me . But i was surprised when i took a different table and irdered the very same menue i.e. tomato cheese onion uttapa , 3 tables which ordered after me got their breakfast sooner than me and i was waiting like a stupid person trying to figure out how unprofessional the management has become , i figured it out that the person on the counter figured it out that i was sitting on the table for too long abd went into the kitchen , very gentle of him to do so , but the rest of them the serving staff had no intrest to look around , i left the hotel without having my food . Hope the owner reads this out . 10:35 am around its a sunday 12 th may theres no rush as such to ignore a single table . Good luck with your business. I would suggest that you keep up with the competition there are a lot of options out there , dobt do such stuff when someone is finding a parking space and taking their valuable time to eat at your restaurant. Dont take them...
Read moreUpdated Review - Extremely disappointed with the recent experiences at Gayatree Hotel, Nigdi. It used to be our go-to family restaurant, but things have drastically gone downhill — so much so that I’ve changed my rating from 5 stars to 1.
We visited on saturday 14th June at 7:15 PM with family. The restaurant was half empty, with more staff than customers, yet we waited over 30 minutes just to get our food. All we kept hearing was “wait sir, it’s coming.” The service has become absolutely pathetic and unorganized.
We ordered South Indian – both the coconut chutney and green chutney were sour and tasted stale. Tomato omelette was completely bland. Quantity is average, nothing worth the price. This isn't a one-time experience either — this is the third time in a row. Earlier, the Punjabi dishes were oily and unimpressive, and the Chinese veg Manchurian was just deep-fried maida balls with zero cabbage or veggies.
After their renovation, they’ve clearly lost their charm — be it food quality, service standards, or overall value. Really sad to see a place we once recommended proudly now turn into something we wouldn’t visit again.
Avoid if you value your time and taste.
Old Review: A nice warm family restaurant visited by every family from Nigdi once in month. Always crowded, one must expect 15mins of wait time to get a table.
I have tried their few breakfast items (south Indian), regular Punjabi menu (chef special also), soups and starters as well as Desserts. All are different in taste and you will...

Following the recent renovation, I was quite disappointed with the changes at the hotel. The overall experience has deteriorated, particularly in terms of service. The waiter did not bring the menu card, and I had to call the waiter just to place my order. When we ordered soup, it was delayed. To make matters worse, the next course was served immediately after the soup, with no proper attention to the dining sequence.
Basic service was lacking — our water glasses remained empty, and no one offered to refill them. While the quality of the food remains good, it is overshadowed by the careless and inattentive service.
I truly miss the Gaytree Hotel as it was before the renovation. Back then, both the food and service were excellent and made dining there a...
