I'm editing my 5 star review that was given 3/4 years ago based on the recent series of experience to 1 star (Disappointing).
The last nail in the coffin was the arrogance of the staff and the owner (maybe, not sure). Its common understanding that Kolhapuri Thali has unlimited Rassa, at least when you eat in Kolhapur. Now they have got the one of the best Pandhra Rassa in a thali and that's the main reason why it is so popular and crowdy. Though other items are okay, they are not great. So if one likes Pandhra Rassa more and demands few extra bowls than other people sitting, seems like this hotel doesn't like it (despite being unlimited). 1st repeat Rassa filling came after I almost finished my 2 chapatis (it was very late). And then after 4, They simply ignored me despite multiple requests to get Rassa. Even other customers were noticing this. At last, when they saw that I'm not leaving my seat anyway, staff person shouted that I have already filled 4 bowls, how much more you want? Like.. seriously.. Horrible part is that owner was supportive of him. They kind of pressurized me to leave the seat.
Now, if they think they can offer only 3/4 limited bowls with the Thali, they should either clearly mention it somewhere or demand extra money in advance if its not affordable for them. I wouldn't mind paying.. but once you are eating, why ignore filling it? When I pointed out that you are being late in fillings, he literally said others still have Rassa in their bowl, why you are so fast.. like literally?
Now combine this with other regular issues like, bad service, absolutely no structure and queue for the waiting, लग्नाच्या पंगतीत फुकट जेवत असल्यासारखं टेबलंच्या बाजूला आपल्या तोंडाकडे बघत उभारलेले लोक, etc. I have been their regular customer and they haven't improved any experience for the waiting and queue till today. They don't really care about their customers. If you think someone will call you as per your sequence of dropping in, you are gonna go home without eating. I have seen people flocking here from outstations and couldn't handle the chaos of getting a seat. If you are slow eater, or with family and kids, just stay away and you will thank me later.
I coped up with other issues for this Rassa, but...
Read moreThis was, without a doubt, the single worst hotel experience of my life. The only thing more shocking than the abysmal state of this establishment was the behavior of its staff. If you're looking for a relaxing, pleasant stay, turn back now.
Staff Behavior: From the moment we arrived, the staff was a masterclass in unprofessionalism and rudeness. The front desk attendant, [mention a specific detail, e.g., "who seemed more interested in his phone than us"], was dismissive and unhelpful. There was no greeting, no eye contact, and our questions were met with sighs and one-word answers. It was as if our presence was a personal inconvenience to them. This hostile atmosphere wasn't limited to the front desk. The "management" was just as bad, offering a half-hearted apology that felt more like an insult. They demonstrated a complete lack of empathy and a shocking disregard for customer service.
Food & Dining: The food was a whole other level of disappointment and, frankly, a health hazard. We decided to brave the complimentary breakfast, and it was inedible. The eggs were cold and rubbery, the "bacon" was a sad, limp excuse for meat, and the coffee tasted like lukewarm sludge. We also ordered room service one evening, a decision we instantly regretted. The meal was delivered an hour late and was so bland it could have been cardboard. To top it off, it was cold, and we had to wonder if it had been sitting out for hours. It was not just bad; it was actively disgusting. We ended up throwing it away and ordering from a local restaurant instead.
In summary, this hotel has a complete failure in both hospitality and culinary standards. It is a run-down institution staffed by people who clearly hate their jobs and serve food that is a genuine offense to taste buds. Save yourself the money, the stress, and the sheer disappointment. I would not wish this experience on my...
Read more"When it comes to Krishna Deluxe Restaurant, the food is undoubtedly good, though it falls just shy of being great. The dishes are well-prepared and pack a flavorful punch, making it a satisfying dining experience. However, what keeps it from reaching culinary excellence is the lack of that extra layer of complexity and finesse that distinguishes truly outstanding food.
Regrettably, the service at Krishna Deluxe Restaurant is not a strong suit. The servers, while not outright unfriendly, seem to carry a 'don't care' attitude, and their pace can sometimes be on the slower side. It's an area where improvement is needed to match the quality of the food.
The atmosphere at Krishna Deluxe Restaurant can be described as casual but with a touch of haste. The restaurant tends to get congested, and you might find yourself sharing a table with complete strangers due to the limited space and insufficiently spaced tables. This can detract from the overall dining experience.
In summary, Krishna Deluxe Restaurant is a reasonable choice for a casual non-vegetarian meal. The food is good, making it a suitable option for those seeking a tasty and filling meal at a reasonable price. However, it's important to note that it falls short of being a great restaurant. If you're in search of a truly special dining experience, you may want to explore other options in Kolhapur.
For Krishna Deluxe Restaurant to improve, there are several areas that warrant attention:
Elevating the culinary experience to include more complexity and finesse in the dishes. Enhancing the speed and friendliness of the service to make dining more enjoyable.
By addressing these aspects, Krishna Deluxe Restaurant has the potential to become an even more appealing choice for...
