Extremely Disappointing Experience at Raaga Imperia Banquet – Attention to Owner Mr. Ghawde
We recently hosted our child’s first birthday celebration at Raaga Imperia Banquet, and unfortunately, what was supposed to be a beautiful memory turned into a very unpleasant experience — all because of the extremely rude and arrogant behaviour of the banquet staff.
Two of your staff members (both wearing spectacles – one black and one white ) who were there during our booking behaved in a way that no guest should ever have to face. When we requested to start serving the starters, they bluntly and arrogantly said, “Pehle paisa lagega, fir starters start karenge. Nahi toh nahi karenge.” The tone, attitude, and the way they spoke were completely out of line.
We were shocked at how unprofessionally your staff behaved at a place that presents itself as a premium banquet. Their arrogance and tone were so low and disrespectful that it felt like we were dealing with staff from a street-side setup, not a hospitality venue. Even the pan shop outside Raaga Imperia seemed more humble and polite than these employees.
To make matters worse, these staff members repeatedly used the owner’s name, “Mr. Ghawde,” while arguing — as if that justified their rude behaviour. Frankly, this reflects extremely poorly on your management and tarnishes the goodwill that Mr. Ghawde and his family have earned in Ravet. Using the owner’s name while mistreating guests is not just disrespectful, it’s dangerous for the reputation of the establishment.
We ourselves are from a reputed developer family in Pune and have hotels outside the city, so we know exactly what hospitality standards should be. If any of our staff members behaved like this, we would have taken immediate disciplinary action. Guests come to celebrate special occasions, not to face humiliation or arrogance.
In fact, the situation got so bad that we literally had to throw the payment on the staff’s face just to end the argument and avoid further embarrassment in front of our guests. Money is never the issue — self-respect is far more valuable.
Let me be very clear — this is not written out of frustration, but out of deep disappointment and genuine concern for the image of Raaga Imperia and Mr. Ghawde’s name. You have built a brand and reputation that people respect, but it only takes a few arrogant employees to destroy it.
The only positive experience we had that evening was with your Kitchen Manager, who handled the situation with complete professionalism, calmness, and humility. He truly understands what hospitality means. Raaga Imperia needs more people like him — not the kind who insult paying guests and misuse the owner’s name to show false authority.
We will never return to this property again, even if we have to pay three times more elsewhere. Money can be spent anywhere, but self-respect once lost cannot be bought back.
A sincere request to Mr. Ghawde — please take strict action against such staff and ensure that they do not misuse your name and ruin your property’s reputation. People come to your banquet for memorable celebrations — not to be disrespected.
This feedback is shared publicly so that future guests are aware of what they might face, and hopefully, so that management takes this seriously. Raaga Imperia has potential, but it’s being destroyed from within by the very people who are supposed to...

Read moreRaaga Imperio in Ravet presents a bit of an enigma. It boasts some commendable aspects, but equally falls short in certain areas. Here's a breakdown of my recent experience, aiming for a neutral perspective:
Ambiance:
The restaurant's decor is undeniably sleek and modern. The live music adds a touch of atmosphere, though its volume may be intrusive for some. However, the lighting feels uneven, leaving some areas dimly lit and others overly bright.
Food:
The menu offers a wide variety of cuisines, which might be a plus for diverse palates. However, the dishes I tried felt slightly generic and lacked a distinct punch of flavor. Portions are decent, but presentation could be more refined.
Service:
While the staff is generally courteous, attentiveness is inconsistent. Promptness can be hit-or-miss, and requests sometimes require reiteration.
Additional Highlights:
Spacious banquet hall: The large, customizable banquet hall could be ideal for events. Kids' play area: A welcome feature for families with young children. Ample parking: Convenient availability of parking space is a definite plus.
Overall:
Raaga Imperio presents an intriguing mix of positives and negatives. The stylish ambiance and menu variety are appealing, but the inconsistent flavors and service leave room for improvement. It could be a decent option for a casual gathering, but those seeking a more refined dining experience might look elsewhere.
Please note: My review is based on my own experience and may not reflect the opinions of others. It's always a good idea to weigh different perspectives before...
