“Come for the food, stay for the flavors — Urus serves Maharashtrian magic on a plate!”
If you’re looking for delicious, home-style Maharashtrian food, Urus is a place you should definitely try. While it may not have the traditional rustic décor that many “authentic” restaurants go for, the real authenticity here is in the flavors. The taste is nothing short of outstanding, and every dish feels like it’s been prepared with care.
I ordered both the Chicken Thali and the Fish Thali, and each one was a delight in its own way. The gravies were rich, aromatic, and perfectly balanced in spices. What I loved most was that the masalas were flavorful without being overpowering or causing that burning sensation some spicy food can leave. The chicken was tender and soaked up the flavors beautifully, while the fish was fresh, well-cooked, and paired perfectly with the accompaniments.
I visited during peak rush hour, so the ambience around my table was lively and a bit crowded. However, the service was still attentive, and the food arrived faster than I expected.
Overall, Urus is an excellent spot for families or anyone craving authentic Maharashtrian flavors at reasonable prices. If you prefer a quieter meal, I’d recommend visiting a...
Read moreWas travelling from Pradhikaran to Wakad and found this restaurant on the way. Had not heard or visited it but it looked good from the exteriors and hence stopped for my favorite lunch of Thali as its name prompted me. They have a dedicated parking lot and it's spacious.
The decor is neat, the ambience is pleasant and airy with ample space between tables for comfortable chats amongst patrons.
Since any restaurant has there best where Special is mentioned, ordered the Urus Special Mutton Thali and a Veg. Thali for my partner (was tempted to also order the Crab Lollipops but since I was the only non veg eater, it would have proved to be heavy). The Veg Tali was ample and quite good. The Mutton thali however only just ok. The Tambda and Pandhra Rassa for which I was so desperate was clearly not to the mark. Tambda rassa was more like Sambar or rather Rassam except a bit more spicy. The Mutton pieces were ample and the Sukka Mutton was awesome. Mutton rassa was also having pieces which is a great thing and the Bajri Bhakri was fresh and quite great. They should however give Solkadi along with Mutton Thali as was available in the Veg. Thali. The mataka kulfi was a bit sweet but very nice.
Overall a decent place which can be...

The hotel’s interiors are simple yet welcoming — wooden benches, brick walls, and the ever-present smell of tandoori smoke in the air.
