We visited Rangla Punjab for dinner expecting a good North Indian meal, but it turned out to be one of the worst dining experiences we’ve had in a long time. From the quality of the food to basic hygiene, everything was below standard.
Food Quality: • The Chicken Jalandhari was not fresh at all — it had a bad smell and stale taste, making it inedible. • The Leg Kebab (not listed separately on the bill because after we raised a concern they skipped it in bill) was shockingly poor. The chicken stuffing felt like it had been sitting for days — rubbery and unpleasant. • The Masala Cheese Balls and LIIT were forgettable. • Only the Soya Masala Chaap and Stuffed Mushrooms were acceptable, but nothing exceptional.
Hygiene Issues: To make matters worse, the cutlery on the table was dirty when we were seated. We had to request the staff to replace all the cutlery before we could even begin our meal. For a place that presents itself as a family dining restaurant, this level of hygiene is completely unacceptable.
Service & Ambience: The staff was not attentive. After serving, no one came to ask if the food was okay. When we expressed dissatisfaction, there was no apology or follow-up. Ambience was fine but didn’t help compensate for the overall experience.
Value for Money: We paid over ₹3,700, which felt like a complete waste considering we ended up leaving hungry and had to go to another restaurant just to satisfy our taste buds.
Overall: Terribly disappointing. Poor food quality, questionable hygiene, and unresponsive service. This is not what you’d expect from a restaurant at this price point. Would not recommend to anyone. Management needs to seriously look into quality control and...
