The Chocolate Cafe - The One Hotel — Restaurant in Maharashtra

I have been here before but it was long ago like before COVID. I visited here today with a friend of mine.

As we went there they gave us an A4 size printed paper menu which was cheap as it was a very popular cafe for chocolate lovers (and also a bit expensive cafe). I first ordered ice tea but they didn't have it at the moment so I went for hot chocolate with belgian which they also didn't have. So i ordered hot chocolate with hazelnuts. It was okayish but I didn't see any meaning in giving 160rs for that thing. So after having a time when we called for a bill, they made us wait for 15-20 minutes and after that we went to the counter where that guy again took 5 minutes to attend us. It was all fine, I'm usually kind to waiters as it's a hard job to deal with random people all day. But, totally not going back to this cafe again for sure!

I had been here before and it used be good experience. But, in my recent visit, a lot of things were changed.

I ordered 1 exotic garlic bread and a sizzling brownie.

First of all, they took a lot of time in getting the order. Besides that, one of the 4 slices was completely burnt from the bottom. And the brownie also had burnt like smell.

The worst of all, they did not respond properly to these complaints. Rather the waiter was defending it with baseless arguments.

We even spoke to cashier (looked like manager) he just said he will look into it.

I couldn’t see professionalism in anyway like it used to be earlier. Not a single apology was shared. I doubt if I will ever visit again here or I will ever recommend it to someone else.

The photos just look good. Didn't like the place at all. We ordered Masala fries. Which were served without any dip. When we asked, they gave us ketchup. Ordered Cheese chilly toast which were cooked using reused palm oil and no butter. Taste was very bad due to that oil. Also the smell in the cafe while the food was being cooked was of oil being reused again n again. Lastly ordered sizzling brownie and that was disappointing too. The brownie was not fresh at all and it spoiled the overall taste. Already disappointed with food when suddenly AC was turned off. We requested to turn it on but it was not working. The simple water bottle was charged Rs 35. Overall very bad experience. Do not go. I would not recommend this...
