Never again. I rarely get the chance to dine out with my family, so I thought it would be nice for us to go out together to Le Zara. In the past, our outings with friends and family have always had a great vibe and atmosphere—perfect for a night out. Unfortunately, today’s experience was completely the opposite.
There was nothing wrong with the food itself or the kitchen, but the service was disappointing. When placing our order, I clearly informed the server that my 7-year-old daughter cannot tolerate spicy food and requested that no chili or spice be added to the baby crispy corn. She acknowledged and assured us that the kitchen would be informed.
I also asked for a recommendation for a gravy chicken dish, and she suggested the Lahori Chicken. I specifically inquired if it contained sugar or brown sugar. She hesitated but assured me she would make sure no sugar or sweetness was added. We repeated our request—no spice in the baby corn and no sugar in the chicken—considering one of our family members has recently started dietary restrictions.
Despite the clear instructions, the baby corn was spicy. My daughter, who usually loves it, said her stomach felt hot after eating it. When we flagged this to another server and asked for some ice cream to soothe her, we were told all the ice cream had melted. I was already irritated but let it go.
Then came the Lahori Chicken, and it was clearly sweet. When we brought it up again, we were told it was because of the cream—as if we couldn’t tell the difference. At that point, we decided to pack up the food and asked for the bill. A third server brought the bill, but to our surprise, it wasn’t even our order. He admitted it was someone else’s bill and corrected it.
As someone with experience in the service industry, I understand that mistakes happen. But three to four issues in a single visit are unacceptable. Despite everything, I still left a tip.
I strongly urge management to ensure that servers are properly trained to communicate customer requests—especially dietary restrictions—clearly to the kitchen. Had this been a matter of food allergies, the consequences could have...
Read moreDear Le Zara Team Thangmeiband,
I am writing to share our disappointing experience during our visit to your restaurant on August 31.
Unfortunately, we found the food to be overly salty across all the dishes we ordered, which significantly affected our dining experience. Additionally, considering the portion sizes, we felt that the pricing was quite high and did not reflect good value for money.
What was most concerning, however, was that we were charged for naan that was never served to us. Its our fault for not raising this issue with your staff, the charge was not removed from the final bill. We also provided feedback at the time, but the only response we received was a casual apology, without any action taken to resolve the matter.
We believe customer service should include accountability and a willingness to correct mistakes when they occur. We hope you will take this feedback seriously and look into the billing issue, as well as overall food quality and customer...
