I recently had the pleasure of dining at "Blackstone Grill," a hidden gem tucked away in the heart of North East India, Shillong, serving delectable Arabic cuisine. Located in a quaint corner of the city, yet centre, the restaurant boasts an inviting ambiance and warm hospitality that transports you to the Middle East.

Ambiance: The moment I stepped inside "Blackstone Grill," I was immediately captivated by the restaurant's Arabian-themed décor. The interior is adorned with intricate lanterns, rich tapestries, and traditional ornaments, creating an exotic and inviting atmosphere. Soft background music enhanced the overall experience, making it a perfect spot for a relaxed evening with friends or family.

Service: The staff at "Blackstone Grill" were extremely friendly and attentive. They greeted us with warm smiles and promptly guided us through the menu, offering insightful recommendations. The service was efficient, and our orders arrived in a reasonable time frame.

Menu and Food: The menu at "Blackstone Grill" featured a diverse array of Arabic delicacies, and each dish we tried was bursting with authentic flavors. We started with varieties of tea & coffee shots, the classic Hummus and Falafel platter, all of them were exceptional. The hummus had a creamy texture with just the right balance of tahini and lemon, while the falafels were crispy on the outside and perfectly seasoned on the inside.

For the main course, we indulged in their Mixed Grill platter, which consisted of succulent skewers of grilled chicken and lamb, accompanied by fragrant saffron rice and a side of freshly baked pita bread. The meats were tender and well-marinated, and the portions were generous, making it a delightful feast for our taste buds.

We also couldn't resist trying their Chicken Shawarma wrap, and it did not disappoint. The juicy, marinated chicken was wrapped in soft, warm pita bread, complemented by fresh vegetables and a tangy garlic sauce—a true delight in every bite.

To end our meal on a sweet note, we savored their Baklava—a traditional Arabic dessert made with layers of flaky pastry, honey, and nuts. The combination of textures and flavors was divine, leaving us completely satisfied.

Price: The pricing at "Blackstone Grill" is reasonable considering the quality and authenticity of the food. While it may be slightly higher than local eateries, the experience and taste make it well worth the cost.

Overall Impression: "Blackstone Grill" brings a delightful taste of the Middle East to the North East of India. The flavors are authentic, the ambiance is captivating, and the service is commendable. Whether you're a fan of Arabic cuisine or simply looking to try something new, this restaurant is a must-visit.

I would highly recommend "Blackstone Grill" to anyone seeking a memorable culinary experience in North East India. It's a perfect spot to savor aromatic dishes and immerse yourself in the cultural richness of...

Went to try out the recently opened Blackstone Grill located at Mawlai Mawroh. I suspected the menu would be a little different from the normal Indian, Chinese or Continental fare, but, lo and behold they had a dedicated Middle Eastern / Arabic menu. And well that kinda hit all my buttons and so we made the order. The ambience of the place also helped with the appetite. Started with the Moroccan tea. It was a minty tea and was simply wonderful. Helped in cleaning the palatte after every dish. Next was the Shorbet Adas Soup which was a lentil soup. A little tangy but it helped with weather. Next were the starters, the Baba Ghanoush, the Hummus Kawarma and the Stuffed Aubergine. The Hummus Kawarma with the small chunks of meat really did stand out. I wanted to have some bread with the Hummas and the management were more than happy to throw in a couple of extra pieces of Pita bread. However, perhaps due to the cold weather, the pita bread were a little too cold for my liking. Next was the stuffed Aubergine that also came with a very delectable minced meat. And finally for the entré, we had the Al-farham Arabic Grilled chicken. The portions were very generous and the meat had a nice grilled char to it. Still would have liked it a little better if the meat was cooked a little more. Finally ended the meal with cups of Moroccan tea. I would definitely go back for the Moroccan tea, the Hummus Kawarma and the stuffed Aubergine. At the end of the meal, the owner was kind enough to greet us and asked for our feedback. Would definitely recommend anyone in Shillong to try...

Blackstone Grill is a wonderful Turkish restaurant, the first of its kind in Shillong, that offers a truly authentic dining experience. One of the standout dishes on the menu, and my personal favourite, is the Grilled Chicken Wings. These wings are perfectly grilled to perfection and coated in a delicious marinade that packs a flavorful punch. The chicken is juicy and tender, and the seasoning is just right. These wings are a must-try for anyone who loves grilled chicken.

Another standout dish at Blackstone Grill is the Shish Taouk. This dish features succulent pieces of chicken that are marinated in a blend of spices and grilled to perfection. The chicken is tender and juicy, and the seasoning is perfectly balanced. Additionally, the Turkish Aubergine is a dish worth trying for the eggplant lovers. It's a delicious blend of roasted eggplant, garlic, lemon juice and yogurt, making it a perfect appetizer or side dish.

Apart from the food, Blackstone Grill also has beautifully decked up interiors that transport you to Turkey. The ambiance is warm and inviting, with comfortable seating and nice music. The restaurant is perfect for a romantic date night or a fun evening out with friends. Overall, Blackstone Grill offers delicious food, a warm ambiance, and friendly service that will leave you...

Finally got the chance to visit this place. Let's start off with the service, the service is very inviting, kind and hospitable. They made sure everything was upto your satisfaction. The ambiance and decor is also really great, nice music playing in the background but it might be a bit too loud. The food is great, absolutely great in taste and flavour and it gives us a look into Arabian food. The meat was juicy and tender in every dish. The quantity might not be enough for some people but it's good for the price. The pricing also seems fair. The turkish coffee was great loved it. They also gave some complimentary Hummus and Garlic Mayo with some salad which tasted amazing. Would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants to try something new and I'd definitely be coming back again. Update: Tried the Biryani(both prawn and chicken) and loved it, very different in my opinion from regular biryani but still loved it, the meat platter had a nice array of delicious meaty delights, the drinks are a must try especially the moroccan and arabian coffee, and last but not least is the delicious baklava for desert.

Our visit to Blackstone Grill at Mawlai Mawroh was a delightful experience. The restaurant, located on the 3rd floor of a building, offered a charming ambiance. We began our culinary journey with Arabic qahwa, which paired perfectly with the served dates and a refreshing virgin mojito. The highlight of our meal was the Grilled Lamb Kebab with tahini, accompanied by a delectable mix of grilled onion, and fries. The flavors were exquisite and left us satisfied. Next up was the Turkish Chicken Shawarma, featuring thinly sliced, marinated, and grilled chicken tucked inside soft Pita Bread. The addition of sliced tomato, carrots, tomatoes, tahini sauce, French fries, and garlic sauce made it an explosion of taste. While the hummus and pita bread were great, the baklava sweets left a bit to be desired as they weren't the best we've had so far. To conclude our dining experience, we indulged in a plate of hummus and Turkish coffee, which was a perfect ending to a wonderful meal. Overall, Blackstone Grill provided an enjoyable dining experience, with its scrumptious dishes and inviting atmosphere.
