The restaurant had expanded, and I was really looking forward to giving it a try, but I was very disappointed. The interior is very spacious and comfortable, but the customer service is really lacking. We had to go ask for a menu. We were given a sticky note to write down our order. We had some friends come in for coffee and ended up moving over to our table. When the chicken and broccoli alfredo was served, the alfredo sauce was lukewarm and the chicken and broccoli were cold. I didn’t receive my order, so I went downstairs to question about it. I was told it was almost done, so I went back to the table and waited. I never received my order!! It was awkward as I waited and waited and everyone finished eating. I went back downstairs and was told that the cooks forgot about my order. How can it be almost done and then forgotten?? I asked to just cancel the order as everyone was finished eating. The girl seemed hesitant to want to cancel my order, even said that they could pack it to go. I again asked to cancel it. I then asked for the bill so I could go ahead and pay. I was shocked that our friends coffee were on our bill! She said she didn’t realize it was a separate bill. I told her that I would go ahead and pay for it as well. As I paid in cash, she didn’t have the correct change. She needed to give me 40 rupees back, but only had a 50 rupee. She asked me if she gave me 50 rupees, would I give her 40 rupees back. I told her it should be 10 rupees, not 40!! She quickly agreed. I was outraged!! She was more concerned about getting the 10 rupees, than about me not getting my order!! My experience was not great at all. I do not desire to return to this place...

Read moreTotally amazed by the stay. Loved every bit of it. Yes, meghalaya is exactly like everyone talks about. Amazing natural beauty and lovely people.
About the stay, I stayed in Room 305 and 306 and it was amazing. The rooms are very spacious with all the ammenities. Heater was available, large TV with netflix, wifi, geyser. Whatever you need for a comfortable stay, they have it. And the views from the balcony was just unbelievable. You can look at the entire Shillong town from your balcony.
The cafe is located at langkyrding-mawpat road some 2+kms from police bazar. Its distance from police bazar makes it super quiet place. You live among the locals and can have a little idea of the daily life over there. Taxis are very easily available for sight-seeing or local transport.
The property is very well maintained, neat and clean. Washrooms are also very neat and tidy. Staffs are super-friendly and very helpful. It is more like a homestay than an actual hotel. Did not eat much over there, so cant really comment on the food, but whatever little we had was very tasty and filling. (Vegeterians, you will struggle in meghalaya).
Overall, I was really impressed by the property, the staffs there and most important the views offered. Would reccomend it to everyone. You can easily stay here without...
