Smoked Pork Spare Ribs

Has a lot of fat and looks dangerously red... You can choose this if you've become accustomed to the strong flavour of pure pork fat; otherwise, please pass. Although the sauce is wonderful, the fat gives it a greasy taste. Despite the fact that it may seem like finger food, DO NOT TOUCH IT with your fingers. Even after five hand washes, our fingers were stained!

Kum Pau Prawns

Best part of the dinner! We ended up repeating this one.  This dish tastes like a real Chinese cuisine, which you won't often encounter outside of such good restaurants. It's a MUST TRY if you feel like eating prawns!

Singapore Chilli Prawns

These came with "shredded eggs," but it actually looked and tasted more like egg cheese. It complemented the food nicely. Certainly something novel. The shredded eggs soften the faint sauce flavour in this dish. The runner-up dish! If you like prawns, MUST TRY!

Butter Garlic Fish

Silky soft on the inside and crunchy on the outside! There is no overpowering flavour or aroma in this dish. The most simplistic dish yet tastes complete, thanks to the proper amount of cooking. The fish tastes delicious because the veggies that go with it are the perfect choice. Try it out! MUST TRY!

If you're searching for a fantastic Chinese restaurant in Shillong, look no further than "DejaVu". Recently, I visited here with my spouse and had an incredible dining experience.

The ambiance of the restaurant is fantastic, and the staff is incredibly hospitable. The food quality and quantity both are superb for the price one pays. The Live Music playing in the background added to the overall experience, and sometimes, I even felt like I was sitting in London. Now, coming to the food, we ordered an array of dishes - veg steam momo, veg manchurian, and veg Singapore fried rice. All of the dishes were incredible, and we couldn't get enough!

The steam momos were fantastic, and the sauces served with them complemented their flavor nicely. The veg manchurian was incredibly flavorful and cooked to perfection. Even though we said we were sharing it, we were all fighting for the last piece! Additionally, the veg Singapore fried rice was another winner - the vegetables were cooked tenderly, and the flavor was spot on.

To add to the experience even further, our server, Mr. Javed, did an excellent job of taking care of us throughout the meal. He was always polite, welcoming, and attentive to our needs, which made our dining experience enjoyable.

Overall, I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a fantastic Chinese dining experience in Shillong. The reasonable prices, along with the fantastic ambiance and staff, make this restaurant stand out from all other Chinese restaurants...

Dejavu Restaurant is a hidden gem in Shillong, offering some of the best Indo-Chinese cuisine in town. The food is consistently great, and I have visited the restaurant multiple times and always come away satisfied. The menu offers a wide variety of options and caters to both vegetarians and non-vegetarians. However, on one occasion, I did face an issue where almost everything we ordered was bad and we had to return it, but the staff handled the situation very well.

The ambiance of the restaurant is cozy and comfortable, with a modern decor and soft lighting. However, the only downside is that it is located on the third floor and does not have an elevator, so guests need to climb several flights of stairs to reach it.

Dejavu is a part of the Jiva group of restaurants, which is known for its quality food and service, and this restaurant is no exception. The staff is friendly and attentive, and the prices are reasonable, making it an excellent value for money.
