The Hut Restaurant - Shillong — Restaurant in Meghalaya

"It was our first visit to 'The Hut' after its renovation, and we were excited to try their new pan-fusion cuisine menu. My brother had previously raved about their momos, so we were eager to taste them. As we entered, we were greeted politely and shown to our seats. The AC provided a welcome relief from the humid weather outside. The ambiance was perfect!

We ordered a variety of dishes, including momos, grilled chicken ramen (specifically requesting no chili oil for our kid), sushi, mixed fried rice, and chilli chicken. Although the service was a bit slow, it was clear that the food was being prepared fresh. The momos were delicious, capturing the authentic taste of Shillong-style momos. The grilled chicken ramen was flavorful, the sushi was yum, and the mixed fried rice and chilli chicken were both delightful, although the fried rice portion was a bit small and the cheesy loaded fries was delicious 🤤.

Overall, our experience was fantastic, and we left happily. We wish 'The Hut' all the best and look forward to becoming regular customers. Keep serving authentic...

Absolutely lip smacking food freshly prepared by chef Judy. I had ordered their :- Grill Chicken Ramen - 8.5 out of 10 the broth was creamy with the seaweed chicken was prepared well and seasoned deliciously

Steamed Chicken Momos - 10/10 The momo wrap was so beautiful to eat but once I ate it, the meat inside was succulent and the mint chutney was divine and so was their momo red chutney.

Chicken Maki - 8/10 It is rice with chicken pieces wrapped in rice and seaweed. What a blast in the mouth plus with the handmade mayonnaise by chef Judy. Made not only my mood happier but also my stomach was completely satisfied.

The Hut is probably my favourite restaurant for ramen and momos. The graciousness of the staff with such beautiful interiors enhances experience of eating. Felt like I was dining at 5 star.

You visited Shillong but not yet & no. Is absurd. This is a MUST...

I’m visiting Shillong for the first time, and one of my relatives who lives here highly recommended The Hut. Coming from Mumbai — and having explored and tasted coffee at some of the best cafés across the country — I can confidently say that The Hut serves one of the finest coffees I’ve had.

The moment I walked in, the staff made sure we felt comfortable. Since my child was asleep, they thoughtfully offered us a table with a couch so he could rest comfortably. The hospitality throughout was truly top-notch, and the ambience was just perfect for a relaxed, soothing evening.

A must-visit spot if you’re in Shillong — especially if you love great coffee paired with genuine warmth and care.
