This is located in police bazaar, Shillong and next to Jiva Veg! You may find it difficult to find but it does exist. The Good The ambience, the music, the variety of food. If you are looking for a cade to have some coffee with pastries, sandwich or anything that is not proper meal then this is a wonderful place to be. Loved the hazelnut coffee that we ordered. Unfortunately we were full from the meal at Jeeva Veg else would ahve ordered more. The Bad Nothing bad as such but the service girl could have smiled. I did mention in some other post that across Shillong or for that matter Meghalaya, the educated ones don't smile at you. Bit claustrophic but the big mirror and the view overlooking the street makes up for it. The Ugly I thought the price is bit on the higher side, however, a nice place to relax and spend a couple of hours if you are visiting Meghalaya and are in Shillong. Definitely a place for romnatic couple to spend a good time and enjoy the beauty of shillong and it's weather.

Strolled in after dinner to treat the kids and left with utter disgust after we received our order. The cheesecake we ordered looked fine in the display case but it's only when we stuck the fork in that we realised we had been fooled as they were utterly stale and rubbery. By far the worst cheesecake or dessert we've ever tasted. The chap at the cash counter couldn't be bothered to even acknowledge our complaint. Left after having just a couple of spoons since it was that inedible. Do your stomachs and wallets a big favour and avoid this place peddling junk in the name of dessert! Shameful!

Had a bad experience. We wanted to order Chicken Steak, but the staff replied that it would take time to prepare as they are having too many online orders. So let me warn you friends that greater importance is given to online customers. We then ordered Royal Pasta and to our surprised we were served with BBQ Pasta. Also the menu stated that Dinner Rolls will be served along with the Pasta, but we did not receive it. I asked for the same and they simply replied "it is finished". So friends, are they not misleading us with the menu?

Used to love bread cafe n it's pastries but now it's unhygienic-despite pointing out ants running among the pastry no action was taken, the vegetable puff we bought had slimy, spoiled n bitter tasting vegetable inside. The Swiss praline we bought was smelling of alcohol. We never knew it had alcohol..manager at the counter admitted it as we returned the items...IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN PROPERLY PUT OUT WHAT ITEMS CONTAIN ALCOHOL. ITS NOT FAIR PRACTICE. what if someone who doesn't consume alcohol innocently eats one? May not be a big deal but should be written prominently that it has alcohol as an ingredient. We all know that rum ball is the only pastry item that has alcohol but Swiss praline? I have checked the ingredients with bakers n online which clearly states no alcohol is used. If not then why that smell?? Clearly it was stale n...

Not sure why there was this particular waiter/cashier guy in bread cafe Pb was being extra rude with us.We went in for some coffee and wanted to order a cake for a birthday party but he said they had no catalogue and I had to Google some designs and give him. I requested the same to a different waiter and he got me one immediately.Even after that any design I chose he kept saying couldn’t be created in the size I wanted.Now I really couldn’t understand why standard designs for round cakes like tiny flowers for a regular 1 kg cake couldn’t be replicated in a smaller one! Finally we concluded this guy just wanted to create problems and just wasn’t interested in taking our order and yet we just couldn’t understand why.The two stars are for the person who served us and tried his best to cover up for his colleagues...
