Raafae's Dastarkhwan — Restaurant in Mira-Bhayander

I've known of Rafees Dastarkhwan for atleast 6 years and during these years it was almost a weekly affair to either dine in or order the famous Kepsa Rice almost every weekend. Over the years I've stopped visiting or ordering bcz the staff and owners no longer appreciate or understand the meaning of good food and good service. This Saturday 10th Aug 2024 i ordered the special chicken Kepsa, to begin with I again encountered a very arrogant staff who took my order, even if u visit in person the people at the parcel counter are down right rude and don't care for u or ur enquiry. The Kepsa that was delivered was bad(my earlier post said that the food was finger licking good, which someway compensated for the arrogant staffs service). The tandoori pieces were powdery and seems like they were stale tandoori chicken pieces. The rice used was like ration rice (if not basmati, Plz use an equivalent of some good rice). Earlier I could not stop eating this Kepsa Rice even if my stomach was full, because my heart wasn't full. This time I just gave up, i had invited my friends over to share this meal and also give Rafees Dastarkhwan another chance to redeem themselves, but it was a big mistake. The rates have increased from 800 to 1000 which I'm ok with. But the quality of food has dropped down to hell. I don't want to visit Rafees Dastarkhwan and neither will I order in too. I would suggest anyone reading this review to encourage and try other restaurants instead serving the same menu. Had placed an order for chicken tandoori & 2 chicken gravies to celebrate mom's birthday. However, when we did not received it for quite sometime we happen to call them to enquire. To our astonishment, the person on the other side literally started yelling that his delivery boy has returned with the order as we provided incorrect flat number (which was NOT the case). This person kept arguing with my husband over the phone non stop... We tried to make him understand but he was extremely stubborn & rude. Inspite of this we still asked him to deliver the order as it was really getting late & we all were hungry. Same person came with the order & again started arguing about the same thing!!!!!!!! We again tried to make him understand that anybody can make mistake and it could the person who noted down the address, but there's a way to talk. I also told him that we know our home address better than any body else would know, to which this person's epic reply was : " WE NEVER MAKE MISTAKES" !!!!!!!!!!! That shows the bad attitude & arrogance. He was extremely confused about the flat number and to our advantage erred in regards to the same while arguing with us...but still kept saying they do not make mistakes!!!!!!! Pathetic experience. These losers got to understand that that it does not take a long time even for a known and famed restaurants to shut down cause of bad service, bad attitude, stubbornness, rudeness & arrogance. To err is human is something they need to get drilled down their heads. There's something called as mutual understanding which these guys fail to understand...

Except Dum Biryani (Chicken), which seems Authentic, All Taste doesn't have any Taste. You The Hotel Claims Mughlai, Then it has to be Cooked Properly Not like Typical Serving of Boiled Chicken into readymade readily prepared typical RED Gravy / Green or White Gravy mostly prepared with Tomato. They Should Learn Cooking From Delhi & Kolkata.

I tried Paya in Ramadan, Very Bad taste, Seems Paya is the waste after taking out Soup, so The soup is taken out then the rest is mixed with any available Spices. Is this the way its Cooked....? Paye kin khosboo door se aati hai...? Shorbe me alag se "Fat" dala hua hai. This is Horrible. VERY BAD Taste. Roti's are Punjabi tandoori which taste worst. They should serve Khamiri Tandori, Jiski Khoosboo door se hi aati hai.

Food is Hell in Mumbai, Eat anywhere same taste, their Menu's will have 300 - 500 Dishes. Is it possible to Cook 300 - 500 items. And the Peoples are too Fool here, Those who born n brought-up here and didn't know the taste, Do they know how it should be....????

If you visit any good restaurant at Delhi / Kolkata, you'll not find more than 8 - 16 items....! Think Why...?

Worst Experience. Those Who Loved Food here, either never eaten any good food, or doesn't know the...
