Dont know how people has rated this restaurent 4 star, but my experiance is worst. First there is no body to guide or arrange parking outside hotel. Then waiting for 1hr When our turn came, we got a menu card on table after asking post waiting for 10m on table. Order placed and delivered delay(this part can b understood) as good things take time. Started was served, but plates we had to ask. Preparation was good, but fish was not fresh Seeing the speed of service i tried to give main corce order early, but to my surprise order once taken they neither turn to your table nor look at your table to understand our need. Thali ordered was brought delayed even its understood, but on asking extra sukha chutni which is ready to serve thing even it was delayed for unexpected time. We found hair particle in the sukha chutni. After finishing roti/bakhri part of thali, we had to ask to serve rice as they dont turn at your table once their part is done. Even this rice which are normally made available immediately after first part we had to ask twice but delay in not justified. Such services will not work for long run, so i think its time to change...
Read moreLast Friday afternoon, my family and I had the pleasure of visiting a delightful seafood restaurant called "Simply Malvani Seafood Restaurant." It is located in a calm locality and offers a pleasant ambiance. Upon our arrival, we were warmly greeted and offered a refreshing welcome drink of kokam sharbat, which served as a perfect appetizer.
For starters, we opted for the prawns and Pomfret fry. Not only were they delicious, but they were also incredibly crispy, and my kids devoured them in no time.
Moving on to the main course, we chose the Prawns Masal thali and the crab masala thali. These thalis included a delectable fish curry, with the option of wheat roti, Rice bhakary, and Vade, accompanied by sole kadi and Rice followed by lovely sweet to cool the tongue. The food had an authentic Malvani spicy taste, and despite the spiciness, the overall experience was truly delightful.
I am eagerly looking forward to visiting this restaurant again in the future. For fish lovers, it is an absolute must-visit place. The memorable taste, excellent service, relaxing experience, and great value for money make it a fantastic dining...
Read moreVisited Simply Malvani on 26.05.25 with my brothers, a much-awaited dining outing after a long time, and it didn’t disappoint. We ordered the Bombil, Prawns, and Chicken thalis, and each one was packed with authentic Malvani flavors.
The Bombil Thali (₹350) came with three decent-sized pieces of perfectly fried Bombay duck, crisp on the outside, soft inside - along with solkadi, rice, chapati, and flavorful fish curry. Great taste and satisfying portion.
The Prawns Thali (₹470) featured fresh, juicy prawns in a mildly spiced coconut gravy, paired with a flavorful prawn sukka. Rich, balanced, and a highlight for seafood lovers.
The Chicken Thali (₹405) had tender chicken in a spicy, well-rounded gravy and a delicious sukka on the side. Comforting and full of bold, homestyle flavor.
While the food and service were both excellent, the pricing does feel a bit on the higher side, especially when compared to other places offering similar thalis in taste and quantity.
Still, the overall experience was warm, nostalgic, and very satisfying, a great spot to enjoy real Malvani food...
