Shahi Restaurant — Restaurant in Mira-Bhayander

I used to be very happy with this restaurant when I had their food years back , had been a regular customer , but now things have changed.

Went there with my Family Lolipop Chicken was not fresh , tasted somewhat like fish

Next the gravy was not cooked properly , we called the manager and he admitted that the chicken was not cooked and replaced the dish,

I thought to give them a second chance after that incident Ordered a Chicken Tikka Biryani , the taste was good , but 50% of the chicken tikka pieces were not fresh , I literally had to spit the chicken after I realized something is not right with it , I ended up just having the rice and not having any chicken from the biryani , which made me still hungry throughout the day , and had to order something again in the evening

To the conclusion they dont have good quality chicken and its mostly not fresh , Gone are those days when Mira road just had 2-3 restaurants , now with the growing competition , I prefer someone who gives fresh food consistently , having food from Shahi seems like a Lucky Draw , sometimes you get good food sometimes you dont

Hence wont have food from this place again My review is edited from 4 stars to 1 star today

Ambiance: Regular set up of restaurant with chair and table, they have ac and non ac section Its little decent looking place, you may see many families dining in here.

What was ordered? Paneer Tikka Masala with Butter Naan: Dark red color gravy with soft paneer pieces, bit spicy, comes with plate of salad too. Roti or Naan were well made.

Veg Biryani: Biryani comes with small raita and papad, rice were typical biryani rice which were placed above veggies in the plate, again there were lot of veggies mixed in red gravy which were on the lower level of bowl. One needs to mix it well and enjoy. This was not top class biryani but it had good taste.

Desert: Caramal custard: Its very soft and silken, one should give it a try for sure

Quality & Quantity: Quality is average and quantity is good, one main can be shared by 2 people.

Price: most of the dishes are well price, pocket friendly place.

Service: Service is quick no complains, staff did refill salad plate when asked for, veg biryani was recommended over paneer tikka biryani by the person who was taking order as I had already tried paneer tikka masala.

Extremely Disappointing Experience I recently dined at New Shahi with a group of friends to celebrate a special occasion, but our experience was extremely disappointing. Two of our friends were on the way and arrived just half an hour after the rest of us, but we had already placed our order. Despite this minor delay, the main manager's attitude was unnecessarily rude. As soon as we finished our meal, he insisted we pay and vacate the table immediately, completely disregarding our plans to cut a celebratory cake. The food itself was quite bland and lacked flavor, certainly not worth the time or money we spent. Additionally, the service was incredibly slow. We had to repeatedly ask the staff for basic items like forks and glasses, which was frustrating and disrupted our dining experience. The staff appeared disinterested and lazy, failing to provide the level of service one would expect from a proper dining establishment.

Overall, the combination of tasteless food, poor service, and the manager’s rudeness made this the worst dining experience I've ever had. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a pleasant meal and...
