Happened to visit this marvellous spot on happening friday. Absolutely stunning spot with unique features. When it comes to look for any chill out cafe, this spot has separate fan base. One of my favourite spot to have mouth watering dishes along with luscious range of cocktails.

“145 THE MILL” is a nice chill out spot serves mouth watering dishes right from American, Mexican, Asian and twisted modern Indian. A stunning spot to make lot of memories, located at one of the prime location Kamla mills, Lower Parel. Have already been to previous outlets, menu consists of variety for vegetarians and non vegetarians as well. Especially they have amazing collection of cocktails.

The Ambience is cozy, the moment you’ll enter, there’s a wall arts which looks pretty good. this spot has fusion vibe, Spacious spot with comfortable sofa seating arrangement. One can surely enjoy this spot by leaving the stress behind. The music makes this spot more attractive. There’s a pool table, the bar counter looks elegant. Hospitality was well taken care of, especially mr. pradeep has done excellent job.

WE TRIED THE FOLLOWING

COCKTAILS

1)MUM-BHAI - Dedicated to the hero’s of city of dreams. All time favourite rum old monk blended with pineapple juice along with thumbs up. Had a hint of chat Masala, tasted well. Combination went well, a bit sweet on taste side and it was well presented.

2)JAPANESE DUNKEL - German beer had a Japanese twist in it, yuzu mixed with gin and elderflower cordial, tasted amazing. As I was wanted, Chilled beer had a amazing combination. Definitely worth to try out this luscious cocktail.

STARTERS

1)LOTUS ROOT CHIPS - This was something different, crispy lotus root chips had a hint of in-house spice, tasted delicious. Berry dip along with these fries was served, crispy and creamy taste. the combination went well, Quantity was huge.

2)PAV BHAJI CONES- A treat to vegetarians, pav bhaji was stuffed in a bread cones, topped with coriander. Tasted on point, a new way to eat Mumbai signature pav bhaji. Quantity was sufficient and the presentation was on point.

MAIN COURSE

1)THE LEGENDARY MAKHNI PLATTER - Legendary makhni platter consists of paneer gravy and dal makhni with Paratha/kulcha. The combination was delightful to have it, it tasted scrumptious. the gravy was also tasted on point, over all the platter tasted well. Quantity was sufficient and the presentation was up to the mark.

2)DHANSAK- Its a Authentic Parsi dish, which consists of lentils and veggies were served with brown rice. the gravy filled with veggies, the brown rice along with this gravy was delightful to have it. Tasted on point, quantity was sufficient. The presentation was excellent, if you’re a vegetarian then you wouldn’t regret after ordering this.

DESSERTS

1)COOKIE CRUMBLE ICE CREAM SUNDAE- Surely a paradise for chocolate lovers, this ultimate sundae consists of crushed pieces of biscuits and chocolates. Right from Oreo, bourbon, Kitkat, gems, maltesers. Served with ice creams and signature Nutella glazed chocolate chip cookies pieces. Tasted scrumptious, had a amazing combination. Definitely worth to try out this signature dessert.

2)MINT CHOCOLATE CHIP MILKSHAKE - Had this twisted mint chocolate chip shake, the combination of mint and chocolate with gems topped with whipped cream. When at Kamala Mills one can’t miss going at the newly opened 145 The Mill rising as a competitor for the other outlets within the mill. Glad to see within a short span of time they are making their presence in most of the party places in the city. 145 The Mill brings you an altogether gastronomic experience to your palate keeping the taste of fellow Mumbaikars in mind. Food menu consist of both Indian and global cuisine. Not to forget if you are looking for some amazing and drooling freakshakes then my friend you have arrived at the right place.

Food:

1 Paneer Tikka – Finely diced succulent paneer cubes properly grilled and marinated with red spicy masala.

2 Chhota Shawarma – Life is full of twist and turns isn’t it? Our very own Shawarma is given an upside down twist. Full Marks to the presentation firstly. It almost looks like a butcher shop where chicken meat is hanging. Here five pieces of chicken pieces are hanging which are marinated Za'atar chutney and at the base small size pita breads are dressed with mayo and pickled vegetables.

3 Chicken Tikka Cigars – High Five for such an amazing thought. Cigars (spring rolls) placed inside a cigar box served along with spicy mango mayonnaise dip. Cigars are stuffed with chicken tikka and melted cheese. Taste wise I find it to be up to the mark but the downside was a bit oily they were which could be improved.

4 Mushroom Bunny Chow – Bunny Chow a popular Durban street food where a bread is hollowed out and stuffed with a variety of curry which may differ based on your choice. Our bowl of bread was filled with properly cooked mushrooms and cheese. For the very first time I enjoyed eating mushroom. A must try!!!

5 Nasi Goreng – If you are bored of eating the same old fried rice then when at 145 the mill do try the Nasi Goreng a national dish of Indonesia. Nasi Goreng stands for fried rice in Indonesian language. Rice is dark brown and caramelised because of the use of special soy sauce called Kecap manis. Rice was mixed with prawns and chicken pieces. Top was covered with sunny side up egg. Highly recommended…

6 145’s signature cheesecake – Love for cheesecake is endless and it’s trippy at the end. New York style baked cheese cake topped with a strawberry compote.

Drinks:

1 145’s Mighty Oreo Milkshake – This time left the cocktails at the bar counter and went for something might and drooling. One of the best freakshakes I had after ages. Already freaked out seeing the mighty milkshake aka freakshake which had loads of oreos mashed inside and few of them at the top glued with the whipped cream. Our childhood favourite’s gems were also topped for the presentation. You will need some company to finish it…beware

Ambience – Being situated in kamala mills this place is sprawling across acres having both rusty and chic ambience. Seating is comfortable and comfy with high rise chairs and sofas for group of peoples. Bar at the centre is one of the usp of this outlet where you can witness beer poured into jugs. Bartenders showing up some juggling skills. If you are a bit full and want to free yourself then there is a pool at one of the corner. Book shelf for the book lovers is there as well.

Service – Our attendants both Mr. Sagar and Rakesh were gentle and quick on their feets. Service provided to us was impeccable and swift. Thank you guys for a wonderful hospitality.

145 The Mill is a supreme gastro pub fit enough for a date, a meeting or a chill hangout with friends and family. The location is extremely accessible, the ambiance is nice with all types of tables, the lighting is not too dim or bright and the bar sits long and pretty.

We visited on a weekday evening and the place was brimming with people. We were welcomed by the staff and were seated at a comfortable sofa table and handed the menus.

The drinks menu is nice and long with some of the best tipples from around the world. Apart from that they have a list full of inhouse enticing cocktails and mocktails. We tried :

Caramel Popcorn Martini : Premium Vodka mixed with proportionate amounts of popcorn liquor churned with egg white. Delicious while having a long lasting aftertaste.

Adam Godfather : Whiskey based cocktail with apple and cinnamon hits perfect for sipping while staying on the tongue gently. Must try !

Thr food menu is loaded with a range of cuisines and all types of courses. Thry have salads, small bites, breads, appetizers, mains and their dessert section is just scrumptious. We ordered :

Loaded Nachos : Crisp tortillas topped with refried beans, jalapenos and generous amounts of cheese sauce and salsa served with a side of Guacamole. Perfect nibble !

Piggy Chops : Tender well done pork ribs tossed in sweet sour barbque sauce. The portion size is easily good enough for two and the ribs are juicy and flavorful.

Butter Chicken Bunny Chow : Their inouse twist to the classic Bunny Chow adding some desi magic is basically butter chicken full of ground spices stuffed inside a bun bread. The gravy was not too sweet nor creamy but appropriately complemented the bread. Go for it !!

Green Thai Curry : Presented beautifully on a slab full of flavoured rice and a cut coconut full of the curry, the portion size was wholesome. The curry however could have been a little better as we could just taste a lot of the coconut milk and not much of the other flavours.

Signature Cheesecake : One of the best cheesecakes I've had in recent times, the cheesecake is optimally creamy and one spoonful is enough to keep you coming back for more. It's served with a whipped cream topping and also a side of fresh cut fruits to balance the sourness. Sureshot order !!

The service throughout was very warm and accomadatind. Our servers Mr.Saimon and Mr.John took great care of us and had some nice recommendations. The place has a feet up vibe with a chill jukebox playing in the background. The crowd is mostly office going people and youngsters having a good time. They have special offers on alcohol, so make sure you grab them.

In all, 145 The Mill, like the other outlets maintains it's high standard and you're sure to have a great evening with a wonderful atmosphere, amazing booze and pretty lipsmacking food. Will be back for some more soon and would surely...

New York style baked cheese cake topped with a strawberry compote. Drinks: 1> 145’s Mighty Oreo Milkshake – This time left the cocktails at the bar counter and went for something might and drooling. One of the best freakshakes I had after ages. Already freaked out seeing the mighty milkshake aka freakshake which had loads of oreos mashed inside and few of them at the top glued with the whipped cream. Our childhood favourite’s gems were also topped for the presentation. You will need some company to finish it…beware Ambience – Being situated in kamala mills this place is sprawling across acres having both rusty and chic ambience. Food – 5/5 Drinks – 5/5 Ambience – 5/5 Service – 5/5 Looking forward to explore other two outlets for sure…..

We tried : - Caramel Popcorn Martini : Premium Vodka mixed with proportionate amounts of popcorn liquor churned with egg white. Delicious while having a long lasting aftertaste. - Adam Godfather : Whiskey based cocktail with apple and cinnamon hits perfect for sipping while staying on the tongue gently. Must try ! Thr food menu is loaded with a range of cuisines and all types of courses. Thry have salads, small bites, breads, appetizers, mains and their dessert section is just scrumptious. We ordered : - Loaded Nachos : Crisp tortillas topped with refried beans, jalapenos and generous amounts of cheese sauce and salsa served with a side of Guacamole. Perfect nibble ! - Piggy Chops : Tender well done pork ribs tossed in sweet sour barbque sauce. The portion size is easily good enough for two and the ribs are juicy and flavorful. - Butter Chicken Bunny Chow : Their inouse twist to the classic Bunny Chow adding some desi magic is basically butter chicken full of ground spices stuffed inside a bun bread. The gravy was not too sweet nor creamy but appropriately complemented the bread. Go for it !! - Green Thai Curry : Presented beautifully on a slab full of flavoured rice and a cut coconut full of the curry, the portion size was wholesome. The curry however could have been a little better as we could just taste a lot of the coconut milk and not much of the other flavours. - Signature Cheesecake : One of the best cheesecakes I've had in recent times, the cheesecake is optimally creamy and one spoonful is enough to keep you coming back for more. Will be back for some more soon and would surely recommend 💯🍻
