I wish I could give this place a big zero but that's not possible. I had gone with my parents yesterday night to this restaurant. A couple of points were extremely unsavory: The food was absolutely sub par. Mixed vegetables in Schezwan sauce was simply Vada with lots of corn flour and next to zero vegetables. The gravy was full of food color and almost no vegetables. veg Hakka noodles had almost no vegetables. Why the word "veg" I wonder. Their management of the tables and crowd is absolutely pathetic. Keeping tables in the middle of the corridor and passing food over our heads, that too glass vessels is the height of ridiculousness. Their positioning of the air cooler is pathetic. We had ordered vegetable spring rolls yesterday and thanks to the air some lady's dupatta brushed all over the spring roll. Customers who are supposed to be waiting in line outside were allowed inside near the door and were loudly talking blocking the entrance. Their acoustics are beyond horrible. The place sounds like a fishmarket unlike another neighbouring restaurant which has good acoustics. A single fan for customers waiting in queue outside. The remaining customers are bitten to death by mosquitoes. The management must understand that they are not doing a favor by running this restaurant. We are customers and deserve proper service. All unwary customers BEWARE of this place. PS we have been eating food from achija regularly since the last 9 years and have never seen the quality deteriorate to this nadir. It...
Read moreLast night 15-Aug (16-Aug 12.30 AM), we ordered paneer tikka Biryani and were given special instructions that it should have proper balance of spices, no less spicy and also not over spicy. When the order came and we started eating, it was more of just like eating rice and not biryani. We didn't complain, but later one of the waiters approached us asking for anything else we would like to have. We then raised complaint for the biryani, to which he asked if he should make it again. We denied saying we have already started eating, and we will continue but expressed our disappointment towards the dish. Later he suggested us that he will bring falooda for us, and asked if we are ok with that, initially we said NO as experience was not good, he insisted again, this time we said yes assuming this will be complimentary now since we denied re-making of the biryani. After we received the bill, we were charged for biryani as well as falooda. If the restaurant is ready to make the biryani again to which we denied, the bill should have either been only for biryani or only for falooda and not both. We eventually had to pay out double the amount instead of paying for only 1 of the items. How smartly I was tricked by the restaurant, even after visiting here multiple times earlier. Unfortunately i decided yesterdays was my last visit to...
Read moreVisited this restaurant yesterday with my wife. Being Sunday dinner time it had long waiting queue since they don't accept prior reservations. However we were given a table within 10-15 mins. Ambience is well done inside and gives a comfortable atmosphere for dining with family and friends. In the meanwhile we had chaat served outdoors which was highly priced but tasted good with good quality ingredients used. We ordered masala pav and tawa pulav once seated. While masala pav was good, tawa pulav was very average and raita tasted sour. Royal falooda was as expected. However since we were given a 6-seater table the waiters had a constant watch on our table and continously bothered us to keep ordering next item as soon as they saw food was nearing completion. It is understood being busy Sunday evening but guys have some courtesy for your inhouse guests first before entertaining waiting guests outside. On top of it my wife is suffering from diarrhoea since this morning and no guesses it is the food she had from this restaurant is the cause of it. Shall definitely think more than once...
