Al Shawarma is located right around the corner of Poisar Gymkhana's entrance gate. Its a small outlet but has been in business from quite a while now and is well known for its Shawarmas, tikkas and kebabs. They also have a small but well ventilated area where guests can sit and have their meals too. Staff is helpful and prompt in delivering service. The owner is a friendly man too, and is extremely humble while tending to customers. They serve shawarmas with different assortations of kebabs, tikkas, chutneys and grilled chicken. Grilled chicken, kebabs and tikka dishes are also available separately. Almost all dishes are served with a garlic mayo dip and some classic green chutney and a bit of pickled cucumbers to go with. Their green chutney is simply amazing and they have an entire shawarma section dedicated to it, do try! Vegetarians too have a few shawarma offerings and are loaded with veggies and patties. Summing this place up, I'd say this is Small but humble places to have a quick bite and the chicken shawarmas are as close to the original lebanese variants minus the khaboos and tahini.(not the typical desi spicy chicken shawarmas). They however lose one star for not following higher levels of hygiene which cannot be...
Read moreVery busy joint, located on a very narrow lane from where the BEST buses continuously pass, so to stand waiting for your order to be lodged seems dangerous in my views 😐 shawarma meat is nicely clocked, perfectly juicy and tender. Apart from this everything else is just regular. Order any shawarma and you won't make a out a difference. Menu list looks big but to deliver every taste of that special shawarma, this joint stands very short. Service is super slow👎🏻 sheltered sitting is very limited. So if in rainy season do carry your raincoat. But it's advisable if you carry it home and microwave it. Would definitely enjoy it better then. Ratings are quiet high for this joint on every food site, but try some more places and you would find no difference or very little difference here. Hence for me it was overly priced (may be because of...
Read moreJudging the food - I would give this place 5 stars. But the politeness of the staff, brought my star ratings down. I had visited here at 5:30pm, Google Maps showed it will open at 6pm. So I went to confirm with the staff the exact timings. They were very rude and said "dukaan abhi khula hai toh chalu hai". So I ignored that and sat inside. I placed an order and the waiter said that the preparations are not yet done -_- So then, this is how I had to wait till 6:30pm and then place the order. The staff is bad and rude. But the 'shwarmas' are very nice. Again you can ignore the staff once you already know about the restaurant. Just first timers beware of the staff. They might get in your...
