This outlet is located at Band stand, Bandra west and it serves a variety of delicious coffee, frappes, coolers, quick bites etc... The service was quick and staff was ok. What you will notice is that there is another popular café which is located right next to Barista and it's funny to watch the guards and waiters of both cafes trying to steal customers, I mean just trust your brand. Let the customers decide and maintain some standards and ethics. Apart from that the ambience is just OK, it could be improved as the table seating is way too close to each other where it's little awkward and spoils it if you are meeting a colleague for a business chat. Its better if the place is empty but if it is not empty then definitely not an ideal place for a casual chat and coffee. Now what really annoyed us was that there was a gang of boys who just came in with a weird attitude and they started grabbing chairs from our table, trying to make us uncomfortable, no courtesy, they started just joining in our space? Without any request. When we decided to leave what was even sad that the staff suggested us to move to another table? Why? Why weren't those gang of boys asked to move who just suddenly dropped in? So the staff should take care of these things. Anyway, coming to the food this is what I tried: 1. Corn and cheese sandwich: 5*/5 Rs 205 4 triangle pieces I love the corn and cheese sandwich it's one of my favorite here. Nice crisp bread and good delicious filling of spinach corn and cheese. 2. Pasta Cheese Sauce and sun-dried tomato 2*/5 Rs 195 This was tasteless Penne pasta cheese sauce missed the cheesy taste and no evidence of any fresh herbs oregano or parsley. And quantity was too little, not worth the spend. This had boiled pasta taste, good the quantity was less it was hard for me to finish it. Also they don't serve Garlic bread along with the pasta like any café would. Please improve this. 3. Lemon Iced Tea 4*/5 Rs 195 Good refreshing ice tea. My Experience Quality: Decent (food is pre cooked, stored then reheated and served)- drinks and coffee are made fresh. Quantity: poor for pasta Parking: Not available (street parking) Ambience: ok Crowd: Mix crowd Taste: Good Seating: can be improved Good for quick bites Wheelchair accessiblity: No Indoor space AC: but 3 tables are setup in that small space. Service: Good Staff: ok Price: Moderate as some things can be better priced as per the quantity served. Type: Café shop Overall Value for money 3*/5

After the sun was out, I went on to sit by the Barista for a cold cuppa coffee, and I have been visiting this place during all my visits to Bandstand earlier, from 2002 actually.  Right beside it there used to be a Cafe Coffee Day, which is not closed and that space is also taken by Barista.  Imagine two of the biggest coffee chains, tough competitors just next to each other, sharing a wall and customers, it was as iconic as the cola wars.  As I went inside the air conditioned space of Barista, to place my order of a cold Brrrista Frappe for the hot morning, the order was taken swiftly and my drink handed over to me quickly for me relish overlooking the sea, amongst some nosy crows, friendly canines and their owners, this place is not just recommended for the fantastic coffee brews, but also for being bang on bandstand and the views it offers, even now, though constricted with all the construction around.

Barista cafe has become a staple for bandstand regulars. It has great outdoor seatings but finding one for yourself is hard pretty much any hour of the day (we went at midnight, still couldn't get the seats). The staff is cheerful and greets you nicely. Although I don't feel the cooking station is hygienic enough to justify the premium we pay at such places. We ordered the Barista Frappe and Tiramisu Frappe. While the former has a wonderful coffee quality the latter is the best for sweet lovers who don't want to go for coffee based drinks. It's a good option nonetheless but can surely be improved.

Its not worth the money at all. They are looting people of their hard earned money. Just because the location is good, you can't charge exorbitant prices for the pathetic food and beverages.

Went to Bandstand around 5pm and as it was little sunny outside decided to went inside Barista in AC. But the AC was not working at all and it was dripping water like anything. It felt like Mumbai Monsoon has arrived early. They were continuously mopping the pool of water it created rather than getting it fixed. It is a small place inside so we were continuously bugged with a person mopping regularly near to our seat.

Service was too slow. It took ages for our food to come. We ordered 1 vegetable puff which I could see right in front me on their display. All they had to do was pick it up and put it under a microwave for 30 seconds and serve it. But this also took 15-20 mins to them to do it and that too at a time when the cafe was almost empty. May be they give you time so that you can enjoy the sea view from their cafe and few portraits on display inside which you can buy if you feel like (Who goes to a cafe to buy a portrait).

Arabitta pasta was so bad, I can't explain. Even the Rs. 10/- Maggi pasta packet in which all you need to do is boil the pasta would have tasted better. All I got was boiled pasta floating in undercooked tomato curry in my plate.

Next was cold coffee. Very average given that it was their supposed speciality. After reaching home I made a cold coffee myself to neutralise the taste Barissta's cold coffee left in my mouth. You would fear having a cold coffee ever in your life if you have their cold coffee. Their cold coffee costed 200/- and mine may be Rs. 20/-.

It costed Rs. 790/- for a vegetable puff, pasta, cold coffee and an apple drink. Too much price for this food. Felt cheated while...

As we all know, Barista Cafe is the pioneer of coffee culture in India. The Barista Cafe chain of espresso bars delivers a truly Italian coffee experience in a warm, friendly and relaxed environment. It provides a comfortable place for people to unwind over interesting conversations and a hot cup of coffee and their quick coffee companions. I visited Barista after two whole years and it took me back to my college days when we used to sneak out of lectures and chill in Baristas sippin' on Coffees. We started with their Cold Coffee Brownie Frappe loaded with brownie pieces while reminiscing our college days. In quick bites, we had ordered their Veg Puff which was served hot and was filled with potato filling and cashewnuts. We also tried their Spinach and Corn Sandwich which was made up of freshly baked multigrain bread filled with sauteed spinach, american corn, garlic mixed with creamy eggless mayonnaise topped with cheese. In sweets, we went with their Indulgent Almond Muffin which was a rich muffin slivered with almonds to make an everlasting impression on...
