Vista — Restaurant in Mumbai

Vista is a multi cuisine all day dining restaurant of Taj lands end bandra. Area of the restaurant is huge.One can literally sit back and enjoy the breath taking sea view of Arabian sea along with the meal.

I tried out their " Thematic sunday brunch" (3rd december 2017). At Vista weekday buffets are great but Sunday brunch is just that wee bit extra special.It certainly lives up to great expectations that foodies will have when they visit TAJ.

Vista has a salad counter ,cheese counter, live woodfire pizza counter on the left side of the main entrance. Since it was a BBQ GRILL theme this sunday.They had a live counter where you can pick and choose as per your taste bud.Chef will prepare(grill) it for you and serve it on your table.

Main course buffet spread was in the centre of restaurant.They had indian,chinese,italian ,mexcian cuisines.

A special mention for the fabulous dessert counter in the corner.It is just so tempting.Such a lavish spread of desserts to choose from and pamper your taste buds and tummy ..They also have a kids section just ahead of the dessert counter where kids can play and have fun.

Salad counter

Orange,argulla and kettuce figs - A simply wow salad.Orange,balsamic vinegar,virgin olive oil ,honey ,salt and pepper ,red onion and arugulla with figs form this delicious salad.Must try!!

Mushroom speciality dish:

Grilled mushrooms -Mushrooms cooked on the grill.This is for mushroom lovers.

Cheese counter specialities

Premium dutch gouda -landana is a famous dutch gouda made with whole milk and rich creamy.buttery flavour with a smooth texture.

Stilton cheese -This is an English cheese.It has a strong smell.One of the best and unique cheese in the world which has a long history. Its rare cheese like these which one gets to relish in lavish buffet spread of Vista Taj

Wood fire pizzas- Freshly prepared and served on your table. Pizza tuna & black olives jalapenos .

Soup Bhunne bhutte aur mirch ka shorba -An authentic mughlai soup. In Enlgish this means roasted corn and bellpepper soup. Rosting gives it a nice smoky flavour .A classic indian coup which i loved. Highly recommended .

Juice counter

Litchi effect juice -Sweet in taste. Summer surprise -refreshing Felt so fresh after having mojito

Main course Tandoori paneer tikka -The highlight of this dish is the marination .i loved it

Baigan bharta -Extremely tasty..i found the dish with high resemblence to baba ghanoush.

Tawa paneer angara - This tasted heavenly. Must try!!with garlic naan which is served on table .

Subz biryani - A nice spiced rice dish.food its prepared using slow cooking method.food is placed in a pot and dough is used to create tight seal to prevent steam from escaping. and had it with Dal frontier(dal makhani my all time favourite)

Lasagna al forno -wide,flat shape pasta made with serveral layer of lasagne sheets.warm and tasty.

Grilled veggies -egg plant,asapargus,artichoke are few of grilled veggies served . Healthy and delicous.

BBQ COUNTER

Corn on the table - The corn was nicely tossed on hot grill. lime and butter applied on corn enhanced the taste .

Grilled asparagus and zuchinni - aglio olio pepperoncino .Grilled veggies served with savory balsamic glaze

Peri peri skimmed vegetables - cottage cheese(tonned) in peri peri sauce grilled with bbq sauce.Would have tasted even better if served with some herb rice

Tulsi mirch ka paneer Tikka skewers - This was the star dish . paneer tikka skewers served in pesto sacue and with tulsi mirch. I loved it.

Jacket potatoes - Potato baked for eating.Famous dish which british people have as thier staple breakfast.It has a fluffly interior and a crisp skin and was served with butter,cheese fillings

A wow counter.Almost 30 different types of dessert. TARTS,CAKES,IVORY BISCUITS ,STRAWBERRY SHOTS,INDIAN DESSERT OF BOONDI .It has all under one roof!!!

Overall i had a great time at Vista. Absolutely worth your money!! Definitely worth...

So i recently visited (today morning) Taj Lands End, Bandra, Mumbai for Breakfast buffet with my family and relatives. We thought that it will be a good experience but turned into a disappointing one. Here are some few experiences i want to share with y'all: Because Vista was full they took us to some garden view restaurant and told us that there is similar buffet spread over there and we agreed. But sadly there was not much spread in the buffet and felt like a normal spread which you can find in any other 4 star hotel as well.

The quantity and even the quality has been downgraded and many items in the buffet were missing and NOT upto the mark.

I ordered one egg benedict as well as whenever i go to Taj i order it but this time it was really really bad, first of all the base which is the bread was hard and there was no hollandaise sauce put, when my mother told the manager about it he immediately bought the Chef and it looked like he took notes but when he bought it the second time there were 2 egg benedicts this time but no changes at all it was more harder than before and again no hollandaise sauce, 1 star out of 10 for egg benedict.

Then i even ordered Pancake and Belgian waffles as well but what came literally made me laugh, they gave a small little pancake and waffles but there was no honey and chocolate or nutella was just kept aside as if they just gave it me in hurry, like seriously even my Grandma knows how to make better Pancake at home. No presentation nothing just plain Pancake and nutella that's it and when i ate the Pancake and waffle literally it was so salty. SO yes 0 stars for the Pancake and waffles.

I even ordered one Avocado toast as well and thought it would be really presentable and great but sadly when the order came it ruined my expectation as well, It was just a simple britania bread with cut avocados on top with some salt and pepper and that's it, WHERE DID THE DAMN PRESENTATION & TASTE EVEN GO. really disappointed with what came.

and lastly the SERVICE, THE SERVICE WAS OKAY, and most of the items were served by INTERNS, like is Taj hotels doing some COST REDUCTION or something because the Interns understood absolutely nothing and even to bring the Bill The Lady took time and some Waiters and Chefs were not experienced and bought what they understood.

Overall mine and Families experience with Todays Breakfast buffet was NOT GOOD and IT IS NOT LIKE BEFORE TAJ WHERE EACH & EVERY ITEM WAS A DELICACY IN ITSELF AND THE SERVICE TOO WAS GREAT AND THEY USED TO GO BEYOND THAN TOLD TO MAKE THEIR CUSTOMERS HAPPY. BUT SADLY THINGS HAVE CHANGED AT TAJ AND I HOPE SO YOU IMPROVE IN THE ABOVE TOLD MATTERS. BEST...

Located in Taj Lands end in bandra West, Mumbai. Vista is one of the best multi-cuisine all day fine dine restaurant in the city. The place offers a luxurious and contemporary ambiance which makes it a perfect place to enjoy a great fine dinning experience.

There are not many multi-Cuisine all day dinning that provide an ideal ambiance for a quick breakfast, business lunch or an intimate evening meal coupled with the mesmerizing view of the Arabian sea.

The premium menu is in line with the varied tastes and preference of people and serves a variety of Indian , asian , and other Continental dishes.

Recently one of my friend had suggested me to visit vista to experience the special navroz dinner that they are hosting at vista, the ala carte menu was curated by their Paris chef , Jehan Adenwallla. So what all did I have ?

Not many people know that I'm a half parsi and my mom who is a parsi loved the food and the whole experience that Taj Lands end and Chef Jehan Adenwallla have curated. Right from serving the much loved mango and raspberry soda, Having old parsi photos on the walls and the famous checkered table cloth that you find in old Irani cafes. taj lands end had created a modern take on a Irani cafe on point and in that process they have still kept the taste and authenticity of parsi cuisine.

This was not my first visit to vista, I have been a regular there and keeping hand on my heart I can say that vista does the best buffets in Bombay. You'll get everything from excellent Indian food, to great desserts to Western dishes that are world class. To experience vista at its best you can visit them to experience their Sunday brunch.
