We were looking to have our lunch around Goregaon, and since we have already had food at their other outlets, we thought of trying this out.
This one, though, is the newest of the lot and much bigger, with two floors of seating compared to the others. We took up the AC seating on the first floor. The restaurant's ambiance is excellent, and the seating arrangement is spacious and comfortable. To begin with food, we ordered the good old Paneer Manchurian Dry. Before the dish, we were served two roasted papads along with a dash of green chutney as complimentary. The papads were crisply roasted, and the green chutney had the perfect tinge of mint while being medium spiced.
The restaurant did not add coriander to the paneer Manchurian in line with our instructions. But the dish tasted outstanding. The paneer was soft and fresh, and the layering of the black sauce was perfect. The taste was delicious and topped off with some cabbage and finely chopped garlic. We went ahead with Paneer Kadai and Butter Rotis for the main course. The Paneer kadai was perfectly cooked with orange gravy simmered to perfection. The spice level was medium, and here, too, they were aware enough not to add capsicum, garlic, or coriander as per the special instructions. The paneer cubes blended well with the gravy, and the taste was supreme. The butter rotis were soft, and the good part was they were soft to the edges. The butter was generously loaded, and the paneer kadai was perfectly complimented.
Finally, we ended by ordering the Royal Falooda for dessert. As per the name, it was a mixture of Vanilla ice cream, sabja, cold milk, jelly, and a dash of rose syrup. Delicious taste and soothing to the palate after the spicy lunch. The good part, again, was that it was not too sweet but just enough to give you the much-needed satisfaction of having a dessert. Thus, we thoroughly enjoyed the food here, which lived up to the expectation of being a Bhagwati restaurant. Highly...

Located in a bustling part of the city, it has earned a reputation for offering a variety of Indian dishes, from flavorful curries to tandoori items, that cater to a wide range of tastes.
The ambiance of Bhagwati Restaurant is simple yet comfortable, with a modest décor that creates a relaxed atmosphere. The seating arrangement is spacious, making it suitable for both small and large gatherings. While the décor is not overly extravagant, it provides a pleasant environment for enjoying a meal with family and friends.
In terms of food, Bhagwati Restaurant excels with its traditional Indian flavors. Dishes such as the butter chicken, dal tadka, and biryani are consistently praised for their rich taste and authentic preparation. However, there are occasional inconsistencies in the level of spice or seasoning, which might not always meet every diner’s preference. Additionally, the portions are generally generous, offering good value for money.
Service at Bhagwati Restaurant is typically prompt, though there can be instances of longer wait times during peak hours. The staff is courteous and attentive, ensuring that diners have a satisfactory experience overall.
While Bhagwati Restaurant may not offer anything groundbreaking in terms of innovation, it remains a solid choice for those looking to enjoy traditional Indian dishes in a welcoming setting. For the most part, it's a dependable option for...
Read moreThe North Indian cuisine offered is representative of that found in South Indian restaurants throughout Mumbai. The consistency in flavor profiles across various establishments is a subject of ongoing curiosity. The restaurant is particularly well-regarded for its Pavbhaji. While many restaurants offer Pavbhaji, this establishment distinguishes itself through its unique approach to flavor and presentation. Service on this weekend evening was notably superior compared to other establishments, and the seating arrangements are comfortable. Despite an extensive menu, our party of three sampled the Naan, Parathas, and various vegetable dishes, which exhibited a subtle fragrance and flavor. My companions sampled the Pavbhaji, which I found to possess a distinct and unique blend of flavors. This restaurant serves bhaji with three pieces of pav and a complementary garlic-flavored chutney. Standard accompaniments such as masala papad and fresh lime are also available. The management demonstrates a welcoming and friendly demeanor, and the availability of valet parking is a significant convenience. As this was a social occasion, I did not review the final bill. However, the menu prices appeared to be slightly elevated, a factor that is, of course, subjective and dependent on individual spending...
