My experience here today was one of the worst I’ve ever had, and for a lot of reasons. I don’t judge restaurants so much but considering how much of a hassle I had to go through for the workers to just do their job, I am extremely pissed.
Cashier had absolutely no change
Had forgotten to ask for the bill at the start, the cashier threw it away
After requesting for the bill before leaving the cashier was very rude and started fighting with me saying that he’s not obligated to give me any bill or compensation, even after showing him the sign that CLEARLY stated “if you don’t get your bill, the treat is on us.” He still refused to do anything
Another employee, NOT WEARING UNIFORM, and casually sitting in a corner with earphones on started begging me to leave it, however I was persistent that I would either like to receive a bill or get my money back.
After this, she started accusing me of scamming them saying “aap bas ye sab kar rahe ho kyuki aapne sign dekha”. I had made it very clear I cared more about the bill than getting my money back
Then the lady started to RECORD AND TAKE PICTURES OF ME. This was by far the thing that pissed me off the most. She also kept telling me I have no right to be mad as employees are also humans, and I would have agreed if they had handled it better.
After about 25 minutes of persistence, I finally get the bill with sour faces and I see that the staff had, without my knowledge, added add ons. (Extra chips, a size increase of my drink even tho portion was the same(I ordered a small, got a small yet the bill said medium)) At this point I was way too tired to argue anymore, so I left. Even as I was leaving the lady was lecturing me about how I shouldn’t make their job harder for them (I can clearly see how you are working with earphones on laughing in your phone)
This did not happen to me, however a lady had entered asking to use the washroom, and they told her that they did not have a working washroom and then laughed when she left to ask another store A) if they were lying, that is just pure un-professionalism B) if they were NOT lying, having no working washrooms is a violation of Indian health and safety laws
I ordered an iced americano, and was asked if I want it mild of strong. DESPITE saying strong, it was very watered down.
Our food had also come cold, with unevenly melted cheese and croissants that were extremely hard to bite into.
All in all, the staff here needs reevaluation and a reality check. Despite working in hospitality they acted rudely and were immature. 3/10 (chocolate...
Read moreVisited a few months back, had a gift card to redeem the staff unnecessarily created issues saying I don't know how to use gift card, then contradicting himself he says everyday so many customers come with gift card, and i serve them, later some guys comes in a friend of his or manager of the store, and takes seat and behaves like he owns the place, the staff goes to them and gossips about me and my gift card, and how he denied me it and laughs, then later he says sure I'll try the gift card, but if he mess up or gift card is not applied, you will have to pay full amount of coffee. Very rude and unprofessional.
The gift card worked, he denied foam/whipped cream on the coffee I ordered which was devil's own cold coffee, neither the beans as they do in other outlets, it tasted like a regular cold coffee and not the other devil's own coffee I've had in other CCD .
Total waste of my gift card and money,...
Read moreTerrible experience at this Cafe Coffee Day outlet inside Juhu Shoppers Stop. It was raining and I simply asked to sit for 10–15 minutes — but the staff rudely refused, saying seating is only for paying customers even when the place was EMPTY. No empathy, no basic courtesy.
On top of that, the tables were filthy, the staff looked irritated and uninterested, and the whole vibe was unwelcoming. For a brand that’s supposed to be about comfort and coffee, this outlet seriously fails. Avoid this place if you’re expecting decent service or basic...
