I had the privilege of trying out their newly summer launched summer menu last week. The menu is exciting and refreshing along with the existing options in their menu. We tried below items -
The newly launched lassi varieties -
Mango Litchi Strawberry Mint masala ( salty)
Strawberry is my favorite so will always be biased towards it. And since the mango season is here, how can you not try mango lassi! These were perfectly sweet for my palate. The mint masala lassi is more like chass though but very refreshing.
Cheese chilli Toast - Pizza on multigrain bread though tasting much better than Pizza. The bread was really soft with generous amount of cheese that melted in my mouth.
Egg Bun - Boiled egg, cut with corn mayo and shredded spinach makes it a perfect snack item to go with your chai.
Lemon Ginger tea - A true to taste lemon ginger tea for tea experiment enthusiasts. I absolutely loved this one as i could clearly make out the taste of ginger and lemon in this.
Aam Panna Chai - Another fantastic result of 'my experiments with chai'. So anyone who is confused between a hot cup of chai or cold mango juice, please choose this one!
Stuffed Chicken Wheat kulcha - great dish for your sunday brunches. The chicken filling is great and the bread is made of wheat. The chain is clearly aware of the importance of having healthy menu options.
Bhelpuri - The flavors are a mouthful, considering the sweetness, spicyness and tangyness of the dish. They can work on the quantity or the price a bit.
Moist Chocolate Cake - i decided to finish off my meal with this one as the recommended moong dal halwa was unavailable. Nevertheless, this did not disappoint. Well, who says no to chocolate anyway! The chocolate cake filled with liquid Chocolate is really a great idea to finish off your meal.
The chaayos chain is a great place to talk over a cup of tea with the huge variety of options that you can never go wrong with. However, I hope they bring down the prices a bit or introduce combos for reasonability. The staff is quick with the orders and courteous.
Food - 5/5 Service - 5/5 Ambience - 5/5 Price -...
Read moreIn a country where the humble cup of tea is consumed by millions at roadside tea stalls and at home, quirky cafes by companies such as Chaayos have flourished by offering an alternate ambience and greater variety, chipping away at the dominance that coffee chains have enjoyed so far.
Inside a bright green and yellow outlet of Chaayos in Mulund's Runwal Green neighbourhood, TGFP is taking some respite from the winter heat. We ain't sipping the usual cold coffee or lime soda; instead, we're savouring a Kulhad of Gud wali chai, one of the many varieties offered by a chain that has made India’s unofficial national beverage its flagship product.
What we were server: Gud wali Chai, Napoli Sandwich, Kulhad Pao Bhaji and Thandi Chai
Gud wali Chai: Jaggery Tea is the newest addition to their winter menu. We loved the rustic aroma of jaggery that filled us with happiness (it can get a little sweet though, so customise it accordingly)
Napoli Sandwich: The Grilled Mushrooms Sandwich recipe is a simple and quick snack that can be made for a breakfast, a brunch or supper or even packed for a school lunch box. The finely chopped mushrooms spiced up with green chillies, coriander leaves makes a filling and healthy weekend breakfast or snack/lunch box.
Kulhad Pao Bhaji: If you are really hungry you could binge on the kulhad pav bhaji, which is bhaji served in a kulhad topped with butter with pao (soft bread roll). Not exactly outstanding, it tastes like any other bhaji and pao we get but the plus point is that it is not at all spicy to have for breakfast.
Thandi Chai: Another interesting concoction called Thandi Chai. Not a hot tea but in fact a cold one which was made with Thandai Mixture and Cinnamon.
Constructive Suggestions:
The Sandwiches and Meals cannot be customized as the gravy and sauces are prepared and preserved. Try giving customers a choice in that too.
In a nutshell, Think about going out for a cup of tea and it has to be Chaayos.

Read more#chaayosmonsoon Let the rain pour in, you are in safe hands this monsoon with chaayos newly introduced chaat menu. Chaayos is worth experimenting, not because their tagline 'experiments with chai' includes the word experiment, but because it is worth your attention. The ambience, the service and most important the food, everything is just the way that you will be left pleased. With the onset of rain, chaayos is ready with their monsoon menu. This monsoon menu includes four varieties of chaats. I tried all four of chaats and found them quite drooling.
Chicken keema papdi chaat: Though i am not suppose to make comparisons, but this one was best of the lot. Chicken keema is so luscious, i promise that you won't be able to keep your tongue off. Papdi was crispy and that added a perfection to this preparation.
Samosa matar chaat: This reminded me of my college days in Varanasi. Banaras is well known for samosa chaat and this preparation helped me going down the memory lane. Samosa was cut into pieces and over the top of it matar and chutney combination was sprinkled.
Egg white chaat: are you a fitness freak person who feels good by avoiding extra fat while deciding upon the food menu. If so then this chaat is for you. A chaat made up of white egg only, thus missing the yolk part, with chaat masala sprinkled over it. Tomatoes goes well with egg chaat.
Bhelpuri: another piece of gem in chaayos arsenal. This chaat will surely make you relive the moment. A perfect blend of spices mixed well with bhel. The cold coffee here just tastes like homely made coffee. Kulfi shake is well made and with sweet basil seed, it tastes great. Kulhad waali chai is something you can't say no to. Overall a perfect place for any tea lover. They have a wide variety of menu to satisfy your cravings, infact...
