Food Review: Poetry by Love and Cheesecake (Mulund)

We visited Poetry by Love and Cheesecake in Mulund, and here’s what we ordered:

First up, the Nutella Cold Cheesecake—it was absolutely delicious! Creamy, rich, and packed with that Nutella goodness, it was definitely the highlight of the visit. I paired it with an Americano, and let me tell you, the combination was perfect. The strong, bold coffee really balanced out the sweetness of the cheesecake, making it a match made in heaven.

My friend ordered a Regular Tiramisu, which she enjoyed, but when I tasted it, I felt it was just so-so. It didn’t quite stand out for me, though it wasn’t bad.

Lastly, I tried the Salted Caramel Cheesecake, but unfortunately, it was way too sweet for my liking. It didn’t hit the same note as the Nutella Cheesecake, which stole the show for me.

I have been a longtime customer since 2021 - Was in LOVE with their black bean veggie burger and Cajun Fries when I tried it at a Powai Outlet.

Their decor is so cozy I loved it and so are their servers.

But recently I went to a Mulund Outlet and We ordered Pain-Au-Chocolat, Hummus platter and Cajun Spiced Fries.

The dessert was underwhelming with little to no chocolate filling in the pastrie and being rather cold. The hummus platter lacked authenticity, the bread was cold and stale and the vegetables were not even pickled. The fries were undercooked. I just left feeling so sad. They have also removed burgers off their menu !!!!

What makes me never want to go there again is I have tried contacting the given customer care number and tried reaching out on WhatsApp on their website but despite being Online no one is responding to it.

The tables and chairs are clean. The chocolate sin pastry is nice, avocado bruschetta tartine used to be fine but now that taste has also become worse. Cajun spice fries are also okay. What annoyed me was the juice that I ordered for takeaway. The watermelon juice was smelling and tasting like garlic (I'm assuming they don't clean their blenders at all). We had also ordered one veg penne alfredo pasta which tasted smelled and tasted like eggs. (Again I am assuming none of their utensils are cleaned properly). No protocol is followed in the kitchen it seems. Smoothie tastes weird and tooooo sweet. They need to understand that smoothies are supposed to be healthy and not made like ice creams.
