Freshmenu - worli — Restaurant in Mumbai

I have ordered twice from Freshmenu only to be disappointed and shocked respectively at those times. There was actually a dead moth packed with my pastry. More on that later.

My first try was the BBQ chicken pizza. Yes, blame me for selecting FreshMenu only because I saw a 10% discount. But wait, it’s a “successful” startup which has been around for a few years so some standard could be expected right?

The Pizza was a basic pizza that one can find at any half decent restaurant. It certainly did not look nor taste like a BBQ chicken Pizza by any stretch of imagination. Having fancy descriptions on the online menu ring hollow when the food that you send is not even a good imitation of the real thing.

I pity those 4.0 and 5.0 reviews where reviewers are deploying fancy gourmet terms without even knowing the basics of the dish they are writing about.

Now lets come to the worst item you are going to read about in a while.

BELGIAN DARK CHOCOLATE PASTRY had an eloquent paragraph long (I kid you not) description on the menu. But nowhere does it mention their most exotic ingredient – A dead moth sticking on the pastry. Is this some new fad straight out of masterchef? It was apparently packed with the thing. See my picture. An automated or a copy pasted answer will not justify this. This was a very serious mistake and a potential health hazard. I guess I was fortunate the moth was visible on the top. Think of the food where the insect got included inside your wrap or beneath the cheese on your pizza. Yuck.

Their Big cheese burger is not much different from the standard issue chicken burgers which you can buy from Sobo Canteens and small cafes. It tastes like a more veggie version of McDonalds Burgers. Certainly does not match the fancy description again.

Their Barbeque chicken wrap is substandard in flavour as well – The wrap looks and tastes like FreshMenu reheated frozen rotis for use – Its badly blistered. If one has to factor in costs, presentation and flavour – Faasos does a better job.

Summarizing this, I’d say FreshMenu is definitely a no go. Do not be tempted by the discounts on your app. Select a better and more hygienic place to order food from. Cheap unhealthy food can result into expensive medical expenses.

The restaurant has got some healthy & fulfilling modern breakfast options. ⚠️However, if one wants a traditional Indian breakfast then they do not serve it here.⚠️

I had the Chipotle English breakfast & home-style chicken whole wheat sandwich.

The breakfast has 3 items from traditional english breakfast with a twist i.e. Eggs 🥚- scrambled instead of fried🍳 Hashbrowns & Smoked sausages- option available for having them either drizzled with chipotle sauce or with just plain sautéed oninons & herbs

All items were seasoned nicely.

The hashbrowns were a bit oily & a tad bit salty🧂 but it was balanced out by the eggs.

The scrambled eggs could have done with a little less of capsicum 🫑& bell peppers in it as they were half-cooked & thus overpowered the taste of eggs

Sausages with onions in chipotle sauce were simply lip-smacking delicious 😋

Overall I would say the taste has improved as when I had tried it earlier the breakfast platter was completely bland. Eggs & hashbrowns had no salt🧂, sausages were burnt rather than smoked

The sandwich🥪 too was very good. It had a nice base of slaw which included carrots🥕, red cabbage & iceberg lettuce🥬 all mixed in a light sauce of some kind. It was topped with a good layer of grilled chicken🍗 again marinated with the same delicious sauce. The bread 🍞 too was...

Extremely unhappy and unpleasant experience i ordered a double chicken patty burger and a text next chicken rice bowl from fresh menu through Zomato order no. FM40874370 Firstly the food was ice cold Secondly the taste and the quality of the food was horrible . My double Patty California burger had 1 patty cut in to half and sent to me . The rice bowl was very very sour and barely had 2-3 pcs of chicken. I did complain to Zomato but like always they did nothing about it . I called up the restaurant umpteen times they did not answer after which the phone was switched of . Would never ever order again and would suggest...
