If you want to eat restaurant like food at home, Gossip & Garnish is the place. Warm hospitality, lovely cozy ambience, restaurant like cutlery & table set up that preps you for a wonderful experience & authentic taste that makes this experience every bit worthwhile. We had authentic 5 course Pathare Prabhu cuisine comprising of aam panna as welcome drink, aluwadi and tikhat rawa & prawns for starters; paplet bhujne, khekdyache khadkhadle, ghawane, rice in main course; khamang kaakdi & kairicha thecha as side dishes & solkadhi. With our tummies & hearts FULL, we moved on to the desert sago kheer & finally the homemade paan.
A few must mention points are: They accommodated our food request in their specially curated menu. Each and every dish had a unique and different taste. Perfect balance of all the spices enhanced the taste of fish. Over and above this, right from the first interaction with Bistriti to a warm welcome by Utsav at the gate (like we were their family guests) & charming Rupa aunty who spoke to us about food, her life, her venture, her ideas, we felt like we had amazing food at a cozy & comforting place with some really good conversation. It's a must visit place for authentic food lovers. They currently serve Maharashtrian, Pathare- Prabhu & CKP cuisine

Read moreI don’t know where to start from and where to end. From the beginning the entire booking process and our welcome was so heart warming. We met the Rupa aunty who was actually preparing things piping hot for us. Her son and daughter in law are a complete team who give you an experience you wouldn’t forget for life. Every single food item was so delicious. All ingredients so freshly sourced that once you took a bite, you would instantly know it. As I am big foodie and so is my ten year old son. He felt completely pampered as they had curated the menu as per his little choices. My husband is a vegetarian and we also tried some vegetarian items, and they were lip smacking. We literally were sharing each others stories and had such a wonderful time while the food was served absolutely piping hot. Today’s busy life doesn’t allow us to sit back and relax while dining but in Rupa auntys home it’s like Atithi devo bhavo, which means a guests is god and they have to be treated extremely special. From the ambience to the table setting to the music, it’s a home for the diners, I won’t call it home away from home. I had planned a surprise for my husband, my son and our two family friends and everyone was simply mesmerised. Thank you Rupa aunty, utsav and bistriti for this unforgettable experience for which we will keep coming back....
Read moreI went for much talked about home dine in experience at Gossip and Garnish. I chose vegetarian meal.
Food - I liked the menu structure and options. Not too many items but not too little also. Drink, starter, soup, Main and dessert. Taste profile balance was good. Typical thali in restaurant has like 15-20 things wherein you cannot appreciate individual taste of each item. So I like this thali with one sharbat, one starter, one soup, two-three different pathare prabhu curries, thecha on side, rice Ghavane, solkadhi with lunch, finally puran poli and then to finish it off with Paan.
Alu wadi and Puranpoli were one of the best I had in long time. I love vegetables cooked in different manner by different communities with their own unique masala. So I loved taste of potato khadkhadle and Pinepple Sambhare dish. Both my favorites now. Other things like solkadhi, thecha, soup were equally good.
Overall, great experience. Anyone who wants to eat unique regional cuisine made in kitchen by a home chef with so much love and care, this experience is worth trying.
Finally, word for chef and her family. Rupa aunty lovingly fed us and took us in like a family. I also had fun chatting with Utsav and Ria. A family who loves to feed and entertain. Wonderful hosts. Better than 5 five...
