GOSSSIP CORNER - Resto . Cafe . Banquet — Restaurant in Mumbai

We visited Gossip Restaurants for a birthday celebration with a group of 7 people. I had made a reservation for 5 people through Zomato and prepaid the cover charge. Overall, the food was decent—here are some highlights:

While the food was good, our experience was spoiled by an unnecessary billing issue. Despite the restaurant being half-empty, we were told that because we booked for 5 people, we would need to split the bill for the 2 extra people. I explained that we simply wanted to add the total amount to our Zomato bill, which would give us a 30% discount. However, the staff insisted that it wasn’t their policy and offered us a 15% discount if we paid directly instead. This was confusing and frustrating because we’ve never faced such an issue with Zomato Dining before, even with changes in the number of people.

It seemed unreasonable to force us to split the bill for just 2 extra people, especially when there was an easy solution available. This whole situation left us disappointed and dampened our overall experience. I hope the restaurant can improve its communication and policies regarding reservations and billing in the future.

Food review:-

Thai Fried Rice: The dish was unique with coconut grated on top, which was different from what we expected, but quite enjoyable.

Sesame Cheese Roll: This was one of the best dishes we tried, and everyone liked it.

Hong Kong Noodles: They were okay, nothing too extraordinary.

Paneer 65: This dish was also just okay, not...

We reach at the restaurant around 11.10pm 1st floor with my family for my sister birthday there was a guy who said last order will be 11.30 l said ok np but that guy repeated thrice while ordering the food I asked me should I order the food or leave the restaurant after that another guy came to take the order then there service was slow around 12 they switch of the Ac I call the waiter they were blank and asking kon keya an all I understand what were they trying to do I am also from hotel industry but you can't treat any one like this or any other family we are paying u so much money for your services I ask the waiter to call manager but they manager is not available then I call the captain then I realise the guy who said me for the last order was the same I can't imagine a captain can behave like this I don't think he has any experience his name (Padmalochan) and his manager name is (Mahindra singh) | will never ever go this place again because of this guy and there management he spoiled...

Ambience : First floor restraunt interior is good. Nice and cozy place. If you are in number of 10-12, then also easlily accomodated.

Personally to me Interior concept of ground floor cafe is ok ok... The book theme is bit loud. If they have only done the wall, it will make it awsome. Hanging the books from ceiling has stretched the concept.

Food: Its a pure veg restraunt. Food was good. Unfortunately an incident happed and we were not able to finish our meal. But the time till we had food, it was good. They have good variety of Indian, continental and fast food dishes. Drinks yet not started but we were informed that it is starting soon.

Pricing : Bit EXPENSIVE!!.. only word which comes to my mind. The prices are bit on the higher side as compared to other restraunts of same catagory.

In just 1 km of radius there are multiple restraunts with good food at lower price.

In evening one might face challenge...
