Ah! The good ol' Udupi... Sheer nostalgia for some, comfort food for others while an interesting experience for Gen-Z.
We stay close by and GP is an old favorite. Honest food at honest prices. They won't go wrong with South Indian so the usual suspects - Dosa, Idli-Vada Sambar are lovely. The Sambar has a hint of sweetness that the old Udupis introduced many decades ago to cater to the Gujarati palate. And i simply love it despite being a South Indian myself. We had Onion Rava Sada Dosa, Mysore Masala Dosa and Manchurian dry for starters.
The Pav-Bhaji is very popular and Chinese options like Manchurian Dry, Idli Chilly etc are inviting. We had Tawa Pulao for mains and it was good.
Wrapped up with fresh lime soda and Rose Falooda for a really satisfying meal.
On days when you wish to unwind and rewind (relive old times) head to GP for a good ol' Udupi...

Read moreAmazing food with warm cordial services . As south Indians we always look for restaurants that open early in the morning as most of us make early morning trip to the temple followed by breakfast outside ..this is one of those places that open well at 8 am.
We had crispy vadas, rava masala dosa and misal pav .we also tried sandwich and orange juice all were very good . Sambar is Udupi style and had delicious pumpkins which adds to the flavour. The place is clean and kid friendly.
The highlight of everything was the service. The waiters smiled always and were always refilling our condiments without any fuss. This was a pleasant experience as we usually visit restaurants nowadays were people take your orders with a frown..
Highly recommended for South Indian food Lazy Sunday morning foodies Budget friendly Child friendly and...
