One of the best budgeted Vegetarian restaurants, Hindmata is located in Tardeo at 335, Bellasis Bridge. They serve North Indian, South Indian and Chinese cuisines. Restaurant is famous for its South Indian food but their North India is clearly underrated and its really good too. They offer different types of fasting items, snacks, starter items, dosas, chaat items, pav bhajis, sandwitches, pizzas, sabjis, rotis/breads, parothas, rice and biryanis as well as Chinese cuisine soups, noodles and fried rice, deserts, juices and milkshakes too. They do have many seating and are fairly big yet affordable too. We have been to this restaurant as well as ordered delivery of food at home and none of the times we have been disappointed. The ambience is average but food is really fresh and tasty.
Tries and tested: Paneer Lollipop, Mysore Sada Dosa, Idli, Paneer Butter Masala, Butter Naan, Green Peas Pulav, Coffee
Paneer Lollipop was crisp while Mysore Sada dosa was tasty and little spicy with red chutney sprinkled inside it. Idli Chutney Sambhar – their most delicious and tasty item is great with a freshly churned coconut chutney along with tasty sambhar. From the North Indian part, we ordered for Paneer Butter Masala with Butter Naan and then naan was soft with butter layered on it while Paneer Butter Masala was tangy with red gravy and pieces of Paneer in it which tasted very well. Green Peas Pulav is again a good dish which we had – rice was perfectly cooked with green peas and the aroma of the dish was mouth-watering as well as taste was wonderful. In the end we ordered for a Coffee which is not to be missed – filter coffee is utterly tasty and perfect South Indian type too.
Always hungry for more !!

Read moreHotel hind mata , it is a fully veg hotel.the location is mumbai central. Most of the people know this hotel. It is a landmark type place for people around this place.
The food options are good . Although all the foods here are veg. You will have no option of chicken , mutton ,egg etc. But paneer , mixed veg these are available here.
The paneer have many options , masala paneer ,kadai paneer, sahi paneer , gravy paneer. But I loved most ,the kadai paneer and sahi paneer. You can check other options also.
You can also taste the mixed veg option. Sometimes the oil is very high , but generally the taste is very good . You can have this option at noon or in the evening.
Many south indian dishes are also available, idli or dhosa are available here. But you should try it at morning or noon. Do not try these after evening.
The kitchen is not so cleaned. As you can see the dining place is clean and good. If you go to the PASS WALA GALI ,then you can see there kitchen . Then never wash it or may be it looks dirty as too much food is made at this small place. Some worker cut those vegetables on the road . As the amount if food is very high , so they do not take care of the place.
Tea and coffee are always available here. Also the teast is good. Good quality milk is used here. You should try it some times.

Read moreI want to share my experience from today (31-Jul-25) at Hindmata Hotel. This is the third time something like this has happened to me. I ordered a tomato soup for takeaway and waited for 30 minutes. When I inquired about my order, none of the staff members seemed to know anything about it. One staff member suggested that I coordinate with the person I placed the order with. Another said they were cutting fresh tomatoes, so it would take time, while someone else claimed it was on the way. There was no clear response, and I eventually had to raise my voice to get any attention. All of this just to receive a soup that I could read about in 5 seconds.
I am very disappointed with...
