Parijat Restaurant and Bar is located off Ambedkar garden, in Chembur. The place is an old joint and has been renovated over the years. Food is typical Indo Chinese and a good variety of Mangalorean seafood. Quality has improved over the years and the place is maintained well. Service is good and fast, the dining area is air conditioned, not spacious tho. So forget about social distancing. All the needed stickers of the mandated pandemic safety protocols were pasted at the entrance but none were adhered to. After a gap of more than two years, I visited the restaurant. None of the servers were wearing any masks. The missing fourth star is due to that. Ordered tandoori chicken and surmai tawa fry. Both were well cooked. The food and bar menu are moderately priced. We didn't wait for the main course as by later during our dining, a group of off-duty drunk cops were creating ruckus. A person from their group was continuously sneezing without covering the mouth for at least 10 times! It was as if the idiot was doing it on purpose! Understandably, another person from the opposite table told them to at least go out or behave appropriately during a pandemic which has never died down, which triggered the drunk cops and then stupid argument started. Such irresponsible behaviour is absolutely uncalled for. Anyways, we didn't find it suitable to continue under such circumstances and left the premises.    Read moreThe waiters are rude af, zero customer service or respect. They have no basic sense of how to speak to customers despite us being very sweet and coorporative. To quote one of their staff on being asked to move our bags which the Bar was relatively empty at the time we said we'd move it when it fills up we've just arrived, he said "abhi rakho baadmein rakho isse accha abhi hee rakho " as if he's our father at home. Zero request, if anything he was prejudiced towards women drinking, looking down upon youngsters. They made us shift tables thrice after which we decided to walk off. (P.S- we were weekly regulars...
