Hotel Saroj & Sweet Mart — Restaurant in Mumbai

Extremely unprofessional behaviour from the waiter staff and receptionist as they asked to leave right after the meal was over, and claimed you can’t sit unnecessarily once the meal is over as it is order my the owner. Me and my female colleague had to discuss on our certain meeting agenda and hence ordered a big meal as much we could assuming it would provide us the enough time to discuss on certain things. As the meal got over the waiter said in extremely unpolite and rudely manner to pay immediately and said please pay first and then sit and talk. As i said okay and continued to pack our individual bags and simultaneously finishing our conversation the waiter came back and asked us to leave immediately saying we can’t sit once the meal is done. Let me be clear, there were lots of empty tables for other customers to sit as it was and non-busy hours, nor we were sitting a couple and definitely weren’t doing any embarrassing things. I am extremely unhappy with the behaviour of staff and owner for passing such an awful orders for the customers. I shall make sure neither me nor any of my colleagues, relatives or friends shall visit...

Food is amazing, I am new to chembur and in last 15 days I have been have meal every second day in the AC secrion. Yesterday again I went there and has been my worst experience ever here 1. The waiter lied saying some work is going in 1st floor AC section , whereas I overheard he saying that some party is going on. We had to then sit in the non AC section. 2.in the non AC section, the waiter looking after us was not at all welcoming while placing the table he actually bang the utensils on the table as if he is throwing the utensils including the food. Having told him do not the bang the utensils, he frowned. While he asked to get mixed raita, he mixed our order l. I don't think I would want to revisit this place coz of the staffs...

There are some restaurants which you can always rely on, Saroj is one of them. The non-AC area is small, however you have an extra floor on the top while still having a separate AC section on the ground floor.The crowd is generally family with more of localites and their service is appreciable.
