K.K. Punjab Hotel — Restaurant in Mumbai

I have been visiting this simple landmark of a restaurant in Vile Parle (E), conveniently located close to the railway station, right from my school days, and keep going back whenever I am in the vicinity. Must say that this is one of the most pocket friendly eatery, that serves you a most satisfying meal from it's limited menu consisting of simple Punjabi and Indian fare, prepared in their own unique way. Not one for conniesiurs, but a favourite haunt of family's on weekends and vacations. The gracious staff and menu have remained the same right through the years, and regulars are known on first name basis. The food has it's own simple charm and regulars would swear by the Chicken Masala Fry, Tandoori Chicken, Mutton Kheema Fry, Egg Gravy Masala, Mutton/ Chicken Biryani, accompanied with a delicious rassa (gravy) and piping hot Tandoori Rotis to go along. The vegetarian section though limited has it's own following such as Paneer Palak, Chole Masala, Aloo Matar Fry, Tomato Palak Fry, Dal Fry, Veg Biryani & the most refreshing Chaas (Buttermilk). K.K. Punjab is a hangout place for friends, students, families, reunions, simple birthday celebrations and a habit for locals and regulars like me, who have grown up on it's tasty fare and will continue to strongly vouch...

The food wa spathetic we ordered chicken korma, rice an butter naan , first of all it was not a korma it had all vegetables in the gravy an small piece if chicken leg the rice all wa spoiled an stick,y it was not chicken korma anat all ,upon speakin to reception he was not awae ow a chicken korma is an not speaking to us , was a waste of money the roadside food is better than KK Punjab hotel...

My A1 since Day One past 20 years!!!!

Must Have Chicken Tandoori Egg Masala Chicken Masala Paneer Masala their flaky parathas & simply their punjabi twist spicy version of biryani!!!
