McDonald's — Restaurant in Mumbai

We hosted a birthday party for our kids aged 7 from 6pm to 8pm.

The staff had informed us that they can accommodate more than 50 kids, they will make the kids play 2 or 3 games, little time for dancing and then give them food.

When we reached the venue at 6pm, a training programme for staff was on. They had not decorated the place as informed neither had they put up any of ours. We then had to make them vacate the place as many kids had arrived for the party on time.

The staff thereafter grudgingly put up a little decoration but not as was informed.

There were around 40 kids and the staff could not get them to play any game. There was only one person who was trying to get them to play but was repeatedly called outside. Finally we had to tell them to stop the games and put on the music so that the kids could dance.

The service of food was very slow making the kids restless. One of the guests actually bought food at the counter which was delivered immediately. Clearly shows the lack of interest of the staff in delivering food to the guests at the party. We had to continuously follow up with them and push them to serve food as per the order.

On the whole, the service and organisation was a big let down.

Only good thing was that even in the chaos, the kids enjoyed.

Our experience suggests, that the place maybe good only if the number of kids is around 15 to 20. Anything above that, and the staff do not have the capacity to manage. Also, the place becomes too cramped and an additional area outside to sit and eat, is not blocked for the party though assured.

On the whole a big let down by Mcdonald and the staff. Hope they take the feedback positively...

I placed an Order SHG-DL-20-02-2020-188252 dated 20-Feb-2020 from nearby Shalimar Goregaon west outlet which is at 10 minutes walking distance. After 30 minutes, there wasn't any status of delivery so i called for HELP. The Customer service executive lodged my complaint and assured me that the store will call to inform about delivery status. I called for HELP again after waiting 15 more minutes when i didn't receive status from store. This time the executive gave me store helpline number because he couldn't. Nobody from store answered to two of my calls in attempt to enquire. Finally, i called for HELP third time to cancel my order as it was beyond 60 minutes that i placed it. The executive told me that he couldn't cancel it and gave me store manager's (Mr. Rohit Tiwari) number. The manager politely cancelled it without asking me the reason behind doing so and concluded with an apology. Minutes later i receive a text from McD that your order was delivered.

This is my second complaint lodged for Shalimar Goregaon west outlet in last two orders. I'm annoyed with repetitive inconvenience, helpless customer support and negligence towards our feedback/complaint.

I want to know how & when i would be getting refund for the prepaid order cancelled.

Kindly do the needful at the earliest..

It was a very bad experience. Had booked my daughters bday here. While booking I was told I had to pay 457/- per meal minimum 15 kids which included 1 mc chicken/mc veg burger, regular fries, milkshake and 1 muffin. However, on D-Day, I was shocked to hear that I will not get mc chicken/mc veg and 15 muffins but I will get a peri peri chicken/veg burger(which is obviously spicy and the kids would not eat it) and only 8 muffins. It was told to me that there was a miscommunication . When I insisted I was told that I have to pay 200/- additional to get 15 muffins and got a cheesy peri peri burger which was little spicy. Then we started off with games, cake cutting . Kids were given burger, fries and shake. Once they were done they started leaving, when almost 80% kids left, we were reminded of the muffins which was of no use now. We then took 7 muffins since we had to pay for everything even though the kids did not like the burger at all. The muffins were not at all of good taste and very dry. Everything was so mismanaged apart from the games and cake cutting. The staff is less and the service was too slow. Also the party was from 12-2 however the decoration was still going on at 12.
