Persiana Hyderabadi Biryani — Restaurant in Mumbai

I recently moved here to shorten my commute to work and, as usual, the cliche corporate Friday potluck...

Since I haven't unpacked yet, I thought I'll get some from out, I was walking past this place and thought of giving it a try. I hopped in, and a very kind and polite lady cashier greeted me.

Now, usually at other places when I asked for a Hyderabadi biryani, it always ended up in green color, which is incorrect. The reason I say is because I have eaten authentic Hyderabadi biryani in Hyderabad at a famous Muslim restaurant, and it was, while in color, now this is not the malai biryani I'm talking about.

Anyway, all said and done, I inquired about the color, quantity, and taste, I was given details I wanted to hear, and the cashier offered me a tasting, which you'll not find in many places.

The biryani tasted perfect it was accompanied by a lot of raita and a spicy curry to go with the biryani, I ordered 1.5 kgs and paid 2600/- which was little overpriced but I was ok when I got great reviews from my colleagues saying the biryani was awesome.

So I would like to thank the lady cashier for her polite behavior and the chef who prepared the biryani, y'all made me proud.

The name of the restaurant chain didn't match the food quality and taste . Food was ok ok , but not that satisfactory for the price . Service staff is a bit slow or maybe they are newly joined . They need a little bit training about how to handle or service the customer. I had ordered mutton shorba , it was like just some water with a bit of chillies and oil was boiled together and served with only one small piece of mutton in it . Was not at all worth as a shorba . After that we ordered chicken tandoori angara , it was only like red chilli paste & chilli which was pasted on the chicken and then it was roasted. There was only a taste of red chilli powder that's it . In chicken BBQ shawarma there was no stuffing only some chicken and a pinch of BBQ sauce with lots of sweet mayo .
