We have all fancied meals where we are amidst the live audience of a mesmerizing performance. The stage strikes up and you have a delicious drink and great food by your side while you relax with your folks is definitely a dream come true. Finch at Powai, strives to keep upto these expectations. They have power packed live performances every day with great food and drinks to select from. We recently visited them on one of these nights and were in complete awe for them. We sipped through the Watermelon Berry Iced Tea and the Saffrontini while we waited for our meal to arrive. The iced tea had sweetness of watermelon and tangy texture of berry whereas the saffrontini was the rare combination of saffron and vodka. It was delicious, indeed. First one to arrive were the Nachos. Crispy tortilla was topped and loaded with a blend of creamy cheese, finely chopped bell peppers, guacamole and salsa. The balance of ingredients was appropriate and it had an on point proportion of taste and flavours. It was absolutely delicious. We even tried their Jalapeno Paneer Tikka. Slices of jalapenos were stuffed amidst cubes of soft cottage cheese marinated with a subtle coating and grilled to get a light crunch. Alternate slices of jalapenos and bell peppers with tomatoes made it different than the usual paneer tikka. We even tried their Mushroom Galouti Kebab and Dahi Kebab. The mushroom kebabs were smooth and soft. The sweetness of mushrooms seeped through and the kebabs had a fine texture. On the other hand, the dahi kebabs were a bit runny from the inside and did not hold together properly. They could have been better. Next, we laid our hands on their Asian cuisine with their Truffled Exotic Mushroom Dumplings and the Pakchoi Cilantro Dumplings. The flavour of truffle with the shittake and button mushrooms with the crunch of asparagus made the whole combination drool-worthy. The taste was absolutely fine and had a sweet touch to it. The Pakchoi Cilantro Dumplings on the other hand were all bursting with the greens and had a leafy healthy flavour. Water chestnut added the much needed crunch and gave it a moist feel on the tongue. We even tried their Burrata pizza and their Greek style pizza. The Burrata pizza was loaded with molten cheese which was rich and topped with cherry tomatoes and basil to balance the taste. The greek style pizza on the other hand was loaded with the riches of greek culture with a variety of toppings like crispy kale, tangy plum tomatoes, flavourful shallots and garlic along with olives and feta cheese. It was a delicious tangy blend of sweet and sour with the goodness of the crust. Our meal ended with the drool-worthy Caramel Oreo Cheesecake. The proportion of oreos was lesser in this one and the caramel was overwhelming. The two did not go very well with each other and they would have to be extremely careful with the proportions. The Chocolate Mud Slide was next and it was a treat. A simple dessert but delicious; the cake was chocolatey and gooey with the crunch of nuts and thick ganache which was absolutely blissful. We loved it and the meal did end on a perfect note. Music, food, drinks and a vibe to die for! This place is a complete party package. Live performances just add to the charm. If you fancy a delicious meal against the backdrop of some great music, then this is the pick for you!

Options that would confuse you: Though a restaurant is all about food, yet many of us loves to pair it with a glass of sparkling red wine or single malt Scotch whisky. Here, a plate of mouth-melting Jalapeno Paneer is paired with a glass of red wine, which can satiate your craving for both food and drink. From coastal seafood delicacies to north Indian tikkas and kebabs, and from Indonesian rice to Shanghai style noodles, Finch is one stop to explore world cuisine.
Live pizza counter: The Finch is few of those restaurants in Mumbai where there is a dedicated live pizza counter. While you can see the chef making the bite for you, you can even get immersed in its tempting aroma much before it is served on table. We tried Exotic Vegetarian Pizza and we were speechless. We were served thin crust pizza with freshly cut vegetables and to be honest I am not a big Pizza fan but this one I couldn’t resist.
Amazing Ambience: The moment one steps in to The Finch, he will be taken aback by its beautifully lit up ambience. The decor is coupled with comfortable chairs and broad sofas, a setting that makes your dining experience more comfortable and colourful. Also, the mellow rays of light peeping out from hanging chandeliers lend to a romantic setting. All though I was there with my son it felt that we were at the right place and right time.
OMG desserts !! Keeping in mind our love for desserts, The Finch has designed an interesting menu for sweet lovers We managed to order “ Caramel Cheese Cake” as recommended by our host and it was something that clearly left us with happy smiles. So, a plate of dessert at The Finch is a treat to the eyes and delight to the souls of a foodaholic.
Live Bands: Finch is probably the only restaurant in Mumbai where live music bands perform every day. It has surprisingly kept aside the traditional Bollywood numbers, and introduced Sufi and English music in its bucket. The state-of-the-art stage serves as a platform for many upcoming and unknown bands in the city. So, while sipping a glass of cocktail and munching oven fresh pizza, you can immerse in a musical setting with singers perform right in front of your eyes. Lights, sound, and action- all are taken care of to let the rhythms blend with the ambience in the most...

We tried: Desire & Temptation Mocktails: Both the mocktails were unique in taste and presentation. Desire was a mixture of coconut, pepper mint and pineapple crumble with blue waves. Temptation was a combination of passion fruit, lime, minit leaves and soda. We loved both the drinks and were truly refreshing.
JD Wings: Fresh chicken wings were marinated in spicy Chinese sauce. It was served with sauce. The taste was awesome.
Tempura Prawns: Jumbo size fresh prawns were dipped in tampura batter and fried perfectly to make it crispy. It was served with soy sauce & mayonnaise. The presentation and taste were brilliant. Must try dish.
Thai Basil Tofu: Tofu was cooked with Thai herbs and chilli. It was served with olive fried rice. The combination of fried rice with Thai basil was excellent.
Harisha Fish with curried Spinach: Thick steak of grilled fish was marinated in spices and served with spinach, small boiled potatoes, exotic vegetables and harisha sauce. It was tasty and filling.
Master Chef's Big Bong : There were seventeen items presented on the huge platter. It had a chocolate hemisphere with three bowls of ice cream, lots of nuts, cut fruits, cup cakes and a bowl of hot liquid chocolate. When we poured hot chocolate on the hemisphere the hemisphere melted and we could see brownie cake inside. The dessert was simply one of the best which I have tasted. It was too big and filling .
We were greeted by Mr.Naresh and served by Soham and Abhishek. They all were well mannered , curtious, customer centric and safety concious.
