Overall an 6.5/10 for the place, will suggest only if you want a cozy vibe, having some drinks and finger food to go with it. Location : The property is located at 2nd floor in a commercial arcade property, having dedicated lift facility for it which is a plus point.
Ambience : Theme of the restaurant is old skool british restaurant/diner along with good bar. Overall vibe of the restaurant is good , slow songs , dim lights , good option for a lazy weekend outing. 8/10 for ambience.
Drinks : We ordered pinacolada cocktail and ginger ale for the first round, cocktail was good, ginger ale was canned drink so as expected. For second round repeat on pinacolada and virgin mojito. Drinks are little bit on the expensive side considering the quantity one gets for the price. 7/10 for the drinks.
Food : For finger food we ordered french fries, chicken nuggets, veg nachos. Quantity of the food is good for the price, but all the three dishes were inconsistent in taste, some fries were burnt some lacked seasoning, chicken nuggets felt like the frozen ones which we buy from supermarket, taste bland, nachos were decent. On the main course we ordered pasta in red sauce, again quantity was good but the taste was on tangy side, not for my liking, so after some time was not tasting good, also the bread provided with it was fried and sprinkled with excessive chilli flakes, did not like it either. Maybe there indian menu is...
Read moreToday I went with my friends they are from nashik I specially bring them to TDS. AT entrance lift area down stares they told us that stag entry is not allowed then they realise that there are few girls as well with us then they said you can go when I spoke with manager he said because of security issues on saturday we have implimeted this policy " which is fare enough". But when I personally checked all the tables, there were at least 6 tables where there were boys or gents only and no female partners or friends, then why is this rule only applicable to some specially privileged people only and not to others. As if as soon as we see women, we are going to jump on them 😡😡😡..... pathetic It was so embarrassing in front of them. At the restaurant, they also pointed out the same..... I told them about TDS so much their food, service, ambiance etc I been visiting TDS since 2012, and its been now more than 10 years since I am a regular customer. And that's not happening with me 1st time, I have been with my brother as well for lunch, and he was wearing half pants as he is from the US, and he feels hot even in Indian winters. That time as well, they didn't allow us. That time we went to another place. If you guys don't want business as a loyal customer, then let us know there are a lot of options...
Read moreAn old classic for Nagpur, TDS (originally 10 Downing Street) is a reliable, upscale restaurant to go anytime with family, friends or for couples. By reliable, I mean whenever you are in doubt about where to go for a great dinner, TDS is a trustworthy place that never fails to live up to your expectations.
The interiors, originally designed to be extremely British, still have the classic luxurious charm with lots of dark wood panelling, Chesterfield sofas and soft lighting. The decor, wall art and the collectibles on display, which were originally all British themed, are now more global in style but equally impressive.
They have live music on Weekends which is usually very good.
The food is very delicious. We wouldn’t have continued visiting even after so many years if the food wasn’t so good! From kitty parties to family dinners to cozy dinners, we have loved all their offerings - Starters, Italian, Indian main course.
The service has always been excellent. The washrooms are very well maintained. They have a lovely Red carpet entrance at their elevator which takes you directly to the 5th floor. Finding parking is usually easy if you are not going through the Main Wardha road and choose to go from the...
