Overrated! Overpriced! Overhyped! Rude managers and some waiters as well
Not sure why internet and bloggers are boasting so much about this place but the taste is average and sevice experience was worst.
Visited on 13th Feb 2022 night. Problems we faced - Service : We were group of 17 people and made to cramp up on just two joined tables on which only 6 people can seat despite 3 more tables and space being availble. When asked to add one more table, the manager was RUDE and said each table is meant for 8 people. From a fellow customer who had arrived before us, we came to know that waiters were originally joining 3 tables but manager intentionally asked to only keep two tables. Food arrived late and that too with missing items like gulab jamun, we had to ask twice for gulab jamuns. Not just us, but another table was complaining that their order hadn't arrived despite waiting for 30-40 mins and to their surprise, the first waiter had completely forgot their order. No generator backup. To add to our troubles, electricity went off and these people didn't even have generators and they could only arrange small candles after 5 mins. By this time, customers were trying to eat food under phone torch light.
Food :
Quantity : ordered special thali and see what I got in the picture below. There were only 3-4 small mutton pieces and one big bone piece. Pulav was served as if it was some precious dessert Taste : BASIC. We expected at least the taste will be at par. But it was also pretty basic spicy curry. The mutton curry and egg curry gave same flavor and mutton flavor could only be felt if curry was eaten with a piece. Quality : the mutton kheema was chewy despite being minced so fine. Pulav's rice was all sticky and felt like khichdi with a dry mutton piece in it.
The thalis are definitely not worth the price and time you spend waiting for your food to arrive. There are better options available in the town than this...
Read moreNashik(Maharastra): Have you ever come across a place where from the very sight of the food served on the table to the last bite, you lose sense of your surrounding, your fellow table-mates seem to be non present and all you are focused on is a synchronised movement of your hand between your plate your mouth... ?
If you have not come across such a place yet, come to ‘Divtya Budhalya Wada’... a paradise for eating Maharashtrian Gavthi (Village style/Desi) style non veg thalis. They do serve good vegetarian thalis as well.
We ordered the the Divtya Special Mutton Thali without even looking at the menu, cause this is all that we were longing to eat... The next ten minutes of waiting seemed like an hour, amidst the heavenly aroma which filled the air...
The food arrived; I somehow took a few pics and then with completely focus(as if the world does not exist around me), started eating my meal. The thali comprised of 4 Mutton items- namely Mutton Curry, Mutton Sukha, Mutton Keema, Mutton Dum Biriyani, Egg Curry, Bajra (Pearl Millet) Bhakri... Awesome is an understatement and I do not have the exact words to express my feeling for the experience... the Biriyani bowl was so good that I ordered a Mutton Dum Biriyani separately and finished it with ease, without leaving a single grain of rice on the plate... The Biriyani and the Mutton dishes here are very different in taste and flavour from what you may have experienced at other parts of the country... but if your taste buds understand good food they will surely make you visit Nashik again and...
Read moreBased on the number of food vlogs available on YouTube I believe this would be one of the favourite restaurant of non-vegetarians. So after watching one of the vlogs I decided to have lunch over here. You won't regret to drive from Mumbai to Nashik to eat at this place, it is definitely worth it. It's an open dhaba types restaurant with decent wooden sitting arrangement. No fans either but it won't bother you as the place is very airy. They don't have a vast ala cart menu but they serve veg and non veg thalis. It's just a 1 page menu so no confusion on choosing the dishes. We ordered 1 Divtya special mutton thali and 1 Divtya special chicken. Did not check the difference between standard and special thalis. Our thali had mutton pieces with normal curry, mutton kheema, egg curry, mutton pieces with thick curry, 2 bhakris and mutton biryani. The same is served in chicken thali but with chicken pieces. The curry was very spicy at first bite but then you get used to the spice as the flavour/taste of the curry sets in your mouth. The taste is something that you would love to eat regularly, you will definitely not forget that taste. I'm not a food blogger so may not be able to describe the taste in a better way. I would give this restaurant a 5 ⭐. Though the service was slow as there was only 1 person taking care of all customers at our side(there are 2 sides) but you will ignore that part after your thali is served and you take...
