THE TEROTALE — Restaurant in Nashik

What could've been a 4/5* experience abruptly ended to become 1*. In one word, overall experience was Pathetic.

We ordered a soup, a starter and main course. To start with, they brought everything together to the table. We were wondering how is that even possible in such a fancy restaurant. We told the Captain that we don't want everything to be left on the table all at once. He was reluctant to take the dishes back. Eventually took one back and let the other one stay. And all along he kept justifying that the kitchen is organised into sections, and one doesn't know what the other is doing. So they send everything together. I told him that is his responsibility to ensure the right sequence is followed. Then he shifted the blame onto us - we should've told him the sequence.

To make things worse, a small cockroach appeared on our table. He removed it with a tissue paper, but we couldn't swallow any further bite. So we asked for the bill and to charge us for the soup we had already finished and the water bottle that we had opened. Again his justification began. "We have natural plants around. So there can be a lot of insects due to that." And just walked away. I asked for the bill again. He asked, "What about the Pasta that's on the table?!, hinting at charging for the same". I said that if the cocktoach wouldn't be there, we would've finished everything we ordered and obviously paid for them. Since we had just a few bites when this happened we couldn't eat anymore. So we wouldn't pay for the same. He called his Manager, who repeated exactly the same words - plants & insects, and what about Pasta. We didn't create any ruckus. We politely declined to pay for anything else.

In this whole period, no one even had the courtesy to apologise for this experience. Rather they made us feel as if we were commiting a crime. I wonder how they pass Food Inspection as it seemed like a common issue with spiel also prepared.

Would never go again nor recommend...

I will recommend to avoid this restaurant. While the restaurant has a great ambience, ample natural light and decent food, I will recommend to Avoid it as the service is pathetic. The managers and serving staff were rude and quite cold. They do not even greet or acknowledge you. This was my second visit to the restaurant and both times the service was equally bad and pathetic. On my first visit with my family, the manager had given us the wrong order a single small pizza when ordered for a pizza plater and over on top of that argued with us. The staff also takes their own sweet time to give change back. We waited for 10 minutes just for the change and after proceding to the car park. The security guard rudely tells us to wait. Upon waiting for a few minutes with my elderly parents. I went in and asked the reason for telling us to wait when we had received the change.
