Birista Biryani — Restaurant in Navi Mumbai

LOCATION - located in CBD belapur sector 15 AMBIENCE - the place is small yet so well maintained neat and clean. Sitting arrangements are good not too congested. The dining tables are wooden so as chairs. The center of attraction here is the food pictures are so beautifully framed on the wall. The clay pots are very well arranged and organized so beautifully on the wall it is eye catching. The one thing is lacking that is hand washing facility the most important and basic thing is lacking. I have visited the place with my husband. MAIN COURSE - as the place is very famous for biryani we decided to order one murg nawabi biryani ( one bone) served for 2 and quantitie was sufficient. Biryani is made with whole spices. It is served in clay pot with the covering of toffun along with that raita and garlic sauce. The taste was so amazing and delicious. One of the best biryani i have ever had. Enjoyed the dinner with real nawabi taste. STAFF SERVICE - the staff service is good. They are friendly. Waiting time was appropriate. Cleanliness is well maintained. The charges are affordable. DRAW BACK - i would specially like to mention this point that they serve the Bislarry water and they do charge for it. They don't serve you regular water. The most important and basic thing is lacking here. I have never seen that before in any restaurant it's client choice to take Bislarry water or regular water. In my opinion they should also provide regular water witch is most important basic thing and priceless. EXPERIENCE - over all experience was good. All the biryani loves out there one should must visit a place because it's worth for biryani one of the best place for biryani with affordable prices. And do carry...

Totally avoidable place......

The first time I had been to birista I think was two years back ( I am not sure of the time) I remember they had just started the setup, the food especially the biryani served was awesome!!!. After that I even had placed online orders too. Well, coming to my experience yesterday... It was extremely disappointing. We went with great expectations... Infact since we had went uninformed, had to wait for over 45 minutes... But all of waited socha food would be worth waiting. Issues : The place was hot... AC either don't work or the capacity is not adequate. Once again the thought was the food is going to be awesome... Pros: staff is well mannered and helpful. Now the Food: Chicken Starters and soups were good especially the Bihar kebabs ( I think). Even the quantity is good.

The disaster: Birista signature biryani 🙁

Ordered family portion. The stuff served was anything but Biryani. Absolutely tasteless. The masala comprised loads of onion mixed with coriander masala ( that's it).. The rice was flavorless and the chicken was undercooked and was equally tasteless. To think that we had to pay for eating half cooked masala chawal as biryani still hurts and feels total insult of the cuisine.

I thought after making my dislike very clear the manager would consider waiving off the charges... Not a chance instead they went on to levy additional Rs 5 on supposedly cold mineral water.

Never going...

The place is small and simple, but very comfy. I liked the ambience and the lighting. The staff was very polite and patient. We came here for a family dinner as a birthday treat and it was great.

Food was fantastic! The starters are all fantastic! I would recommend to visit and take a stab at just the starters for an entire meal.

The biryani is good too. My kids aren't too crazy about spice, so the Birista Biryani worked well for all, as it wasn't spicy.

Capacity and Ambience! If you want to visit with a family of four, or a few friends, it works. There are a couple of tables for 2 and 2 tables for 4.
