Roasted by Roseate — Restaurant in New Delhi

The worst restaurant in the entire city full of liers and frauds…. I unfortunately ordered a pizza from them and got a ice cold pizza in return… When reported it the staff (Azim) I was assured I will get a fresh pizza the following day. Because the pizza was ice cold and was not edible at all I had to eat Maggi because I was starving and did not have any option apart from eating Maggi. The following day I got a call from the restaurant (Sachin) and was told the pizza will be deliver along with some complimentary pastries…. When I got the pizza it was all ruined as the delivery guy which was sent Roseate was carrying the pizza in a plastic poly bag and the pizza was entirely ruined when asked he said it was given to him this way only when spoke to the restaurant(Sachin) about it, and when Sachin confirmed it with the delivery guy he straight away lied in front of me that the pizza was not ruined when I interrupted the delivery guy and said I can video call and show it to the restaurant people the delivery guy agreed to his mistake and said it was a little damaged. Wherein, the pizza wasn’t even edible and was all crushed… now I was given an option by Sachin to deliver a new pizza the following day and was asked to return everything to the delivery guy and I returned everything to the delivery guy and he left… after that Sachin told me that he will send me a new pizza the following day and it will delivered properly. To which I said I want my refund and do not want the pizza after that I was asked to wait as he had to speak to his manager on that… the following day I spoke to the so called manager (Gaurav) and was told that he will speak with Zomato and will get the refund processed by Sunday or by Monday maximum…. Now to my surprise they stopped answering my calls and stopped responding to my texts and I was totally ghosted by the restaurant people. Now on Wednesday my phone was answered by Azim and when I asked to speak to the manager the manager denied to speak and disconnected the call… when I called again the manager said it is totally a lookout of Zomato and I would need to speak with them as Zomato people are asking for photos and videos of the ice cold pizza delivered… which I of course did not have because when the delivery was made cold the restaurant assured me to not worry about that and I will get a fresh pizza. Hence, I did not take any pictures and videos of the ice slab(Pizza) delivered to me…. And everything was put on me and was told it was all my mistake I had to deal it with Zomato…. AFTER GETTING THE TURN AROUND TIME CLOSED I WAS ASKED TO SPEAK TO ZOMATO BECAUSE THE RESTAURANT DID NOT WANT TO HELP AND THEY KNEW NOTHING COULD BE DONE THEN AS ZOMATO WANTED THE PICTURES AND VIDEOS WHICH I DID NOT TAKE BECAUSE OF THE ASSURANCE GIVEN BY THE RESTAURANT…. Now I am being asked to shut up was letting me speak All of the staff was manipulating me and were putting everything on me and was even told I was lying and did not return anything to the delivery guy wherein I returned everything to the delivery person…. Now all of them are denying from their words and commitments and not wanting to refund my hard earned money I would visit or order from this place again in future it would recommend this restaurant to anyone. When love is in the air & smells like coffee! There's Nothing better than going on coffee dates in the sunshine, amidst luxury. Visited Roasted by Roseate yesterday with my better half & without a doubt, we had an amazing experience! We met Chef Sahil and he was on his toes to serve us the best delicacies according to our palette. Roasted serves a wide selection of freshly brewed coffees to recharge you throughout the day. Other than coffee, this chic Patisserie & Cafe offers pinsas, sandwiches, decadent pastries and an array of fresh juices.

From the inviting menu, we tried a couple of dishes- • Fresh fruit juices - watermelon & pineapple So cold & refreshing. Must try the watermelon one. • Cold coffee & iced mocha - The cold coffee was just made according to my taste- creamy. Loved every sip of it. • Fluffy omelette with mushrooms & greens- it was cheesy and filling. • Pumpkin arancini - this one's a must try here. You will love the explode of flavours. • Pera Pinsa- A Roman style Flatbread made with a blend of rice, soy & wheat flour. Toppings were pear, brie cheese, walnut, rocket and balsamic. This was will keep you wanting for more. • Non veg clubhouse sandwich- filled with grilled chicken,  chicken ham, tomato, lettuce & house mayo. A treat to the tastebuds! • Veg croissant sandwich- Crispy on the outside & soft inside. Extremely well baked. • Gluten free chocolate almond pastry and sugar free eclairs. Loved both of them and these were a class apart!

This place just can't be missed. So, go get your caffeine fix and an all day menu of healthy treats and sumptuous bites. The menu has options for vegan friendly and gluten free too. With a cosy yet casual vibe, It's the kind of spot you can comfortably settle in at for an entire afternoon. At peak times you might struggle to get a table, but it's always...

My experience at Roasted by Roseate

Ordered a cappuccino and an American chocolate chunk cookie. With just one person handling both cashier and barista duties, it took around 10–15 minutes before they even started preparing the coffee.

When I went to pick it up, it turned out to be an Americano instead of a cappuccino. No big deal — mistakes happen. The barista agreed to remake it. But then I noticed something concerning: she knocked the used coffee grounds directly into the dustbin and immediately refilled the wet portafilter with fresh grounds, without cleaning it.

Running late, I asked for it to-go.

Then came another red flag: the steam wand still had dried milk on it — a basic hygiene step ignored. Any seasoned barista will tell you: clean the wand after every use.

Finally, I was handed what was supposed to be a cappuccino. For reference, a proper cappuccino has equal parts espresso, steamed milk, and foam. What I got was a bitter espresso shot (likely from a bad pull using the wet puck), topped with hot milk — no foam, no balance. It wasn’t even a latte. And it was far too hot, which no proper cappuccino ever should be. This, from a place charging ₹365+tax for one cup?

If you're someone who enjoys a good coffee, honestly, you'd have a better experience at McCafe, Tim Hortons, or even Dunkin’ Donuts. Yes, I’d rate this below all of them. Not even taking it close to the likes of Savorworks, Chelvies, Blue Tokai etc.

Roasted is just a fancy-looking café in a high-end location, but lacks the fundamentals of coffee-making. I genuinely hope they work on it.

Bonus note: The cookie was a crumble cookie — typically served warm. Not only did they not ask, they didn’t bother to warm it either. It just fell apart...
