Location - This restaurant is located right opposite Panvel ST stand.

Ambience - It's a small hotel but has decent ambience ( somewhat like lunch homes). Good for families. They have a AC room as well

Food - Food here is mouth watering and delicious. Though it specialises in Malvani food, they do have Moughlai and Chinese dishes. Try having the malvani food but.

I tried Surmai thali, which comes with an option of deep fried and tava fried fish. The Surmai peice was huge and exactly how it should be, fresh, and not too oily and spicy. The thali comes with one huge peice of whichever fish you want, Malvani Curry with that peice of fish again, 2 breads (Bhakari, Chapati, Naan etc.), Rice, Sol Kadi and Pudina (mint) chutney. The Pudina Chutney is so good and refreshing that you end up asking for more.

I also tried Bombil Fry (Bombay Duck), which was so fresh and perfectly cooked. The Bombil was nice brown and crisp on the outside and soft and juicy on the inside.

Quantity - One thali is more than enough for one person. Also, they let you share the thali between two.

Price - All the dishes are cheap and reasonable. Surmai thali - ₹390/-

We recently visited Hotel Mast Malvani in Panvel and had a truly delightful experience. As seafood and Malvani food lovers, we were thrilled with the variety and taste offered here.

We tried the Kombadi Wade Thali, Surmai Fish Thali, Bombil Thali, and Lapeta Kabab as a starter. Each dish was packed with flavor, cooked to perfection, and served fresh. The Kombadi Wade had a rich, spicy gravy that truly represented authentic Malvani taste. The Surmai and Bombil thalis were equally satisfying — the fish was fresh, well-marinated, and perfectly fried. The Lapeta Kabab was a great starter — juicy, well-seasoned, and a perfect way to begin the meal.

The ambience was clean and welcoming, and the staff was courteous and attentive. Overall, a great experience for anyone who loves traditional Malvani cuisine.
